Swapped my CaliRaisedLED ditch lights for some Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros with the SAE driving lens and amber backlight wired to DRL’s.

My plan is to add an extra pair of SS2’s on the sides as white floods and use these as auxiliary high beams. Florida is pretty laid back on lighting and I’m very careful not to use them around other drivers.

I used it on some pipes with my sump pump/water treatment system in my home like 3 years ago, it's still going strong.
But we'll see what this looks like on the truck in a couple weeks.

I want one of those intakes too. :anonymous: I'd just wipe off the oil and check it again in a few hundred miles.

What tire size on those ray 10s?

Yeah, using it as a dashcam was the intention but has some limitations. I have to press the record button once to start recording and once to stop it. Yes it writes to a SD card and the video can be configured to loop (but this feature currently only works when starting video from the app). Default recording method will write in chunks until the storage is full then it will stop and you have to go in and clear out space (via camera or app). It's definitely not as streamlined as I would like and I probably wouldn't recommend it as a purpose-built dashcam to someone who drives a lot. I don't drive a ton these days (100% work from home) and I mainly only even turn it on for longer trips or when I take the truck off-road...and for those use cases it works great. Plus I can take the camera out and use it for other GoProey things.

My Daughter and Son in Law stationed at Kings Bay as a Navy diver is waiting on his orders due by the end of the month and he has a very good chance of transferring to Hawaii as well. If so will be moving by early August I believe.

Out of curiosity, why not ship the truck to HI since you'll be there for years?

Hawaii has almost as many crazy looking Tacos as it has cockroaches, it'd fit right in!

Were both runs on the same tank of fuel, and the same weather/temperatures? The dyno tolerances might be in play as well - assuming it was the same dyno?

As we all know, no Taco is a real off-road machine without some MK2 recovery boards, and of course - the dual 2-gallon RotoPax's mounted on the center rail on the inside of the bed.
Just for effect... I after I washed my black truck... mother nature decided to powder coat it with some yellow pollen...

This was not the same tank of gas, although I only ever put Shell into the truck (unless road tripping), and usually from the same 1-2 stations.

Today is rainy and ~40deg. The first pull was dry, and around the same temp +/- 1-2deg according to weather records.

This was run on the same dyno, with the same driver even.

I'll ask what their tolerances are during the next session on Wednesday.

It seems impossible that adding all that weight without changing anything else wouldn't absolutely tank the horsepower, let alone give it a bump.

After mine turned itself off a couple times during winter storms I just left it off. I haven't missed it. I don't have to back out of my driveway blind though.

I would agree it is unusual! No new stickers or buzzzy exhaust?

I have to let my practical sense win on this one. My wife's car is smaller, more practical, and paid off. Parking is going to be a pain, so a smaller vehicle is ideal. Instead, I'll probably buy a bike to ride around for 3 years, then sell both before we leave. Hopefully vehicle prices will calm down a bit during that time and I'll buy a brand new Tacoma when I get back for less than I paid for this two year old Tacoma. I know it's an unpopular option, but It will be best in the end.

    Enough for now
Blacked out sequential turn signals, definitely broke a tab in the passenger side.
And blacked out CB antenna spring

    More next week
