    Hey guys,
I am designing a new, lower cost DIY bed slide using 2020 / 2040 Aluminum T-Slot for my brothers 2018 TRD Pro. (He is located quite far from me)

I need the bed bolt spacing/dimensions for a 2018 tacoma - (I have a 2021 and the bolt spacing has changed) I have searched tacoma world and could not find such info. Does someone have this info available?

It is an improvement / follow up to this project -

The frames are the same between 18 and 21, and since the bed bolts to the frame, I’m surprised the spacing has changed. Infact I thought the actual bed (not the sheet metal sides) was the same between gen 2 and gen 3. Just checking you are not comparing long bed to short bed or some miss communication between you and your brother / something like that.
Not saying it hasn’t changed, I’d just never seen / read about any change, so would be very interesting where you got that info from and what has actually changed.

Bed length to bed length measurements are same. I just put the bed mat out of my 17 into my 21 and the places I cut for the loops still fit.

    Ok,
Perhaps I am in error- when I created a new bed slide for my 2021 the bolt pattern changed from my 2017 - I thought the change had occurred in 2020

I’m intrigued, what change did you notice between 2017 and 2021 bolt patterns when you went to mount your 2017 draw system in your 2021?

The brackets I made for 2017 did not fit the 2021- the bolt width spacing was off-

The end goal here is to create a low profile diy bed slide that be built by most people without too much effort- then share the plans on Tacoma World

I was told by Decked that they had to update their drawer system for 2019 (which is why they have 2 skus: thru 2018 and 2019 - current). They claim the changes were enough that the systems are not interchangeable. Apparently there are differences in the beds over the years

@WiFiDoctor , did you ever get the dimensions for the 3rd gen bed bolt pattern, I'm stuck overseas and can't get to my truck to measure them myself.
