Just wondering if anyone in Canada has tried to buy just the shocks from the TRD lift? I gave the part numbers the US guys use to buy the shocks separately to my dealer but they did not work in the Canadian system.

But why though? They are just overpriced fox 2.5/2.0 with a red trd sticker on them, and no preload adjustment.

The TRD lift kit is for the non Pro models - it uses a revalved 5100 Bilstein - guys are buying just the shocks from Toyota dealers in the US for pretty much the same price as a set of 5100's. The whole lift kit from Toyota including a new grill and TSS sensor is around $1800cdn, so the shocks and the rear block is more of an affordable way to go.

Ah yeah, I had TRD pro in my head.

That said, I've never had a problem with the TSS.

I would highly recommend getting an ad a leaf for the back like icon or Deaver instead of running a block. The Tacoma leafs are really bad, and blocks make them worse. If you put in a decent AAL right from the beginning, they will last a lot longer and perform waaaaay better

I did the TRD lift. What’s a decent AAL going to cost?

Did you guys like the TRD lift kit? I’m thinking either that or the rough country kit.

    Well depends..

The TRD Performance Lift kit that I have... is pretty good for the money (ride is more firm, cornering is more stable feeling; no brake dive out of the ordinary at the front when applied.. aside from the Riser Block. I need a new Leaf pack at some point anyway due to the sag I get in the rear once all the weight is added on; like hitch, bikes, surfboards, luggage, kids and dogs (no particular order there).

The brand new TRD lift kit that you can order and have installed on 2022's which doesn't include a grille... that one I have not used.

    Hope that helps somewhat?
