Is this a newer frame? Or some very resilient stickers.

If my 07’ had them, they aren’t there any more?

My frame has NOT been replaced.

 

have a dealer run the VIN for frame recall.

 

Mine has similar decals, and similar rust, or worse.

 

Frame stickers On my truck. Frame hasn’t been replaced.
Stickers on my drive lines. Haven’t been replaced.
Stickers on differential. Hasn’t been replaced.

 

Tacoma frames suck but their stickers are built to last.

The part number sticker is the give away. It’s a newer frame. If the tech didn’t remove it there should be a heavy lifting sticker in one of the wheel wells and a “do not forklift here” sticker on the front crossmember. But those usually come off

 

Agree. The P/N 04001-76704 shown in the 2nd pic is a giveaway that it's a replacement frame. Unlike the P/Ns for the original factory frames, the replacement frames all have subassembly P/Ns (i.e. 04001-XXXXX, 04006-XXXXX, 04008-XXXXX, etc.). Contrary to popular belief, not all of the frame stickers can withstand a nuclear blast as you'll see in the 1st pic the adhesive remnants to the right of the sticker still remaining. Regardless, don't listen to us TW yahoos and instead check with a Toyota dealer to be sure. Trust, but verify.

No way that frame has been on Ohio roads since 2006.

That frame needs a few hours of loving care. Doesn't matter that it's a replacement, it's still suffering.

 

Would it be more prone to getting 'stuck'?....

 

Facts. Boggles my mind how not everyone sprays fluid film, woolwax etc in the rust belt.

 

Run Forest Run, to the nearest rust proofing location and get that frame taken care of.
I choose Fluid Film.
But please do something, the rust is being reborn as I type this.

The rust is all getting sanded and painted then coated at zeibarts

 

It's likely the PO got concerned about the rust and brought it to the dealer for inspection. The dealer sent the PO on his way and says there's nothin' to worry about , saying you have the "Good Rust" hence the sticker.
So there you have it OP. You don't even have to repair the rust since you have toyotas "Good rust" stamp of approval sticker.

 

that is definately a new frame, however, that could have been replaced years ago hence rust starting to build

 

It's the replacement frame. Fluid Film that frame as soon as you can: it works.
