All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    That’s killer!

It amazes me to see what the price of some of these pedals go for. More than a guitar!

Right. I just don't get it. There is nothing particularly special about these pedals either. There a plenty of kits to build them and knock offs. I guess they are just another object for rich hipsters to buy and show off.

I saw a YT video on these a few years ago. I thought it was pretty crazy but interesting when they opened it up to spot a fake or authentic.

They did play a few sound clips, (real and fake) it sounded great for what it was, but just not my kind of sound

Right, the difference is so minimal it's hard to justify owning an original one. If I wanted that sound bad enough, I would just build one myself. As there are kits all over and tons of info on doing it.

ZZ Top La Grange is so fun to play. Would love to get that solo down. I think it's C pentatonic.

Going through my order history on Sweetwater. I notice that Vox Amplug I bought was $40 last September. You can't get them for under $50 new now. Fuck this inflation.

But it will cost you more to pay for the gas to cut the grass.

Exactly. You may make more, but it all means dick if everything else cost more. Typical politician solution to a problem. Just create another problem instead of find a solution to a the current one.

Wait, why am I not being paid more then?

    and the middle class disappears.

Usually this is the way it goes. I haven’t raised prices in 10yrs. I asked for another $10 from a few old clients, and poooof they are gone.
It’s tough out there in the service world. A lot of my clients get what they pay for with working with me.

I was an AD for Turner Entertainment, there was no time to do things right. Just time to revise a shit design over an over, until it was a polished turd for On-Air. They would pay you anything!

Now I own a landscape biz, and my client base runs the gambit. We provide the very best service, treating your home like it was my own.

The 2 jobs have similar clients, ones that pay you for your expertise. Those that want to squeeze you for you expertise.
    Capitalism is grand!

That was fast! If you're looking for a good 8" 4ohm speaker. $33 shipped on eBay right now straight from Musicians Friend. They must be unloading them.

Time to upgrade / fix my little Peavey Rage.

So this Celestion in my Peavey Rage sure made is sound better. Gonna made that cabinet a bit. The board the speaker is mounted too is only held on with two screws. No wonder the thing rattles. Looks like the chassis is the same. Two screws. I think it's just this model, because the ones from the 80s don't seem to be made the same. Have not pulled the chassis to see what is going on with the electronics, but I think they could use a little going over.
