That feeling when you take your awesome new adoptee to the river and he does back flips into the deep end. Win win win.

GSD, what a great animal! Love it when those ears fall together and look like a tent.

Kimo loves to play in the grass.

I meant to add, we had to drop off a "sample" this morning for his Giardia diagnosis. Tech asks when it was taken. I said "fresh from the oven" and on to the scale he went. It doesn't see like it but he's 65 pounds today. Pretty crazy to see how big he's getting!

I finally remembered to take a picture of this. My dog is very particular at times like wet paws, snow, and too long of grass make him get very confused or weirded out. So if you put a toy on his bed he will not move it even if it means hes not able to lay on it. So tonight he had one of his toys almost in the center of the bed and he only wants to lay on the other half or so of the bed. It's like hes afraid of disturbing it. It's only worse when its a larger toy like the orange one in the pic and when this happens he wont even lay on the bed until you remove it.

Great guess, he does look like one of those compact retriever types.
He's just a mutt of all mutts.

He's a street dog I brought back with me when I moved back to Canada from Bolivia. To me he seems like a shephard/retriever mix of sorts.
I snatched him up out of a ditch, he was maybe 2-3 months. Was mean af then, he's mean af now.

Not really a dog to pet or cuddle haha but he's the world's best alarm system! And once he knows you he shadows you everywhere.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
So, Saturday marks a week with Tessa being home with us. 18 weeks old with no socializing by the breeder.

Today, she walks on the leash with so much confidence that will prance, head held up high. She is still learning proximity when walking, but she will stop and sit down when me or my wife are walking her. She's learning to ignore distractions on the leash as well, which is surprising to me.

Tonight we made progress with her and her name recognition. Hopefully this weekend will have that locked in.

Potty training is going surprisingly well. One accident, pee in the absent the night we brought her home. And we're up to 5-6 hours over night. And she is learning the crate is a good place to find treats. She actually went in for a nap this afternoon on her own.

We had her at Doggy Day Care one day last week at the training facility where she will help me learn how to be a good dog dad. Lessons start Tuesday with a trainer one on one.

Had her in for her first post barn bath on Tuesday.
