Speaking for myself If I did pay for a Haircut I would much rather have a Pretty Young Woman hovering around me!!

Rather then some older Male smoking a Cigar prattling about local sports teams

LOL! Yep, that's the one! The same one I had laughed at since the early 80's. They're still making them after all these decades and I happened to buy it quite a while pre-'Vid-19. Looking at them a year or so ago and I could have sold it like used car prices have gone!

My wife is a hair dresser. I'm not supposed to cut my hair, but I sneak in trims on my own and just wear a hat.

Repair guy just showed up. Sounds like I'm getting a new water heater. Figures this would have to happen when I'm almost 4,000 miles away.

    Some decent news.

Plumber got ahold of the power company and the water heater was registered with them (it's a Marathon water heater) so it will be $750 to switch out instead of $3700 to replace. Didn't even consider the tankless for over $5,000 as we probably won't be in this house long enough to see the ROI.

Doesn't the Marathon have a lifetime warranty?
How did it fail? There isn't much to repairing an electric water heater.

$3,700 to swap a hot-water heater????:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: WTF??????? Even $750 seems a bit steep, unless that includes the new tank and all fittings.

A new pool pump will cost between 1200 and 2200.
A new pool filter will run about the same and a new pool heater will be between 2800 and 3400.
    Plumbers/electricians aren't cheap.:hattip:

Not much I can do about it. Gotta have hot water. The 3 of them have already gone 2 days without.
