I’m wondering if any of you guys have had problems with the rebound on these? I love how they ride and they suit the truck great the only issue I’m having is they will SLAM to max extension as quick as they possibly can, it extending make a very audible sound as if you were to smoke a pothole with the front end. I don’t know if this is a problem with the struts or just what to expect but every other company is fine. I have them put an extra 6 turns or .5” higher than the 2” default

I assume you're only talking about the front. Stock upper control arms? maybe ball joint limiting travel?

Yup, the one and only complaint I have with these. I was at 2” of lift with SPC arms.

Just added bumper and winch and it dropped me a half inch, much better.

Unfortunately the rebound/top out problem is too severe for me to live with. I have a set of Fox 2.5s standing by.

Interested in this as well, although mine feel good so far with the added weight of my bumper/winch setup probably 160lbs added weight. No more brake dive and I have been trying to find spots that will cycle the suspension before my alignment Thursday evening.

Definitely swap them. I was worried 650lbs would be too stiff but it is exactly what is needed.

It looks like you have a full bumper, what does your front setup weigh? As mentioned I have not noticed being under sprung yet with 160lbs added, but they are brand new. Did you start getting brake dive, or feeling that factory OR suspension wallowing around on the road?

I had mine almost maxed out to achieve the same lift as my stage 1s, second notch. It would always make that loud thump when i drove over potholes or bumps too quickly. I ended up using 0.5” spacers with extended bolts and cranking it down around 0.5”. No more loud thump or topping out.

Definitely felt all the above with the factory OR suspension.

I'm at just over 200lbs up front without a winch. I'm going to put a winch in sometime this year. With the 650lbs its just fine right now but i also got them anticipating a winch.

Just saw that you just got them put on. The 600lb springs seem to support an added 160 just fine, but you would definitely be pushing it with that much weight. I’d bet you would have to have them topped out to get a 1.5” lift. I ended up cranking the drivers side up about 5-6 turns to get an even side to side lift of 1.5 to 2”. I’m sitting at 22.5” center of hub to fender (36” +/- ground to fender on stock tires). I didn’t take measurements before install consensus seems to be 20.5 to 21” depending on model, I’m guessing I was closer to 20.5 as mine seemed a little lower from day one. I have a heavy one factory though with long bed. I think you went the right direction with anticipated weight. I did the same in the back with stage 2 Deaver expeditions. I would have been at the upper end of stage 1 daily, so went heavier stage 2 so I’m not squatted too much when loaded. I prefer a little rake anyway.

Probably not optimal to ever run anything at it’s max. I thought about a spacer on top but I wasn’t looking for more than 2” just for longevity of other parts without adding diff drop etc.

See I’ll be about 140 up front with bumper and winch and skids plus whatever sliders add too

Oh man, I just ordered SPC's as an attempt to fix the awful rebound noise/ clunk. Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this but it sucks to hear that my new UCA's wont fix it, has anyone talked to Eibach about this? Is this just the way that these coilovers ride? I probably go over speed bumps 20 times a day and it is unbearable to hear the thud no matter how slow I go.

lots and lots, never ending mods
I'm quickly discovering I gotta take speed bumps pretty slow to avoid the rebound thud, I'm expecting that once I add the SSO bumper and winch that it will probably be just fine, hoping the bumper shows up next month. if your not adding any additional weight to the front an option might be to look in to lighter weight coils from Eibach

It’s not the coils it’s the design of the shock. Increasing the weight or dropping the lift just gives you more down travel so you don’t feel it as often.

All suspensions do this when running near max. Have read posts indicating this anyway. With IFS you lose down travel as you increase lift height. 2” lift seems about as high as I’d want to go. That would be like a 3” lift on a second gen. Also once getting near/over about 23” center hub to fender cv boots are going to be rubbing themselves apart. With a mid travel 2” lift and UCAs you don’t lose much down travel from factory due to extended length but much past that and you are limited by LCA travel.

According to this post in another thread the OEM spring rate is 712#.
OME Coil lifts 886 vs 887 vs 888

Also lists the Eibach spring rate at 742# All the OME springs are much lower than OEM which seems to explain the sag people complain about. I had 885s on 5100s on lowest perch with a .5" spacer (Which I added later because of the sag)and was around 2.5" lift but it felt kinda "floaty" and soft in the front. Just put on the Eibach coils (the only ones they list for the 3rd gens) on the 5100s and I haven't felt any rebound yet. Still need an alignment then I can get a better read on how it feels. Definitely firmer though. I have a favorite speedbump that I know exactly how my truck feels. Stock Sport suspension was terrible on it. I like the way the OME springs handled it. Waiting on the alignment before I judge the Eibach springs and 5100s.

I just recently finished my install of the Stage 2 kit on my 21 O/R with ICON AAL. Got an alignment and now it clunks with I’m turning even going slow. Ordered sway bar relocation, but not sure if that’s even the fix. CV angle looks fine and LCA are tq’d to 100 verified myself.

It should have come with a sway bar drop bracket and hardware. That is likely the issue if everything is torqued to spec. Have seen other reports of that usually on sport models with the larger sway bar.
