If you don't have a water heater, then yes.... it's the 1800's again.

 

I get that; you gotta do what you gotta, do, but the cost seems criminal. I swapped out the neighbours a couple of years ago; tank & fittings purchased retail ran about $600, swap took <60 minutes.

 

I swapped ours out about 5 years ago, it's gas, tank was leaking. I think the water heater was around $475-$500 if I remember correctly.

 

A watched kettle never boils comes to mind.

 

Can make some new jorts while waiting on pot to boil, just like dad used to wear with the pockets sticking out the bottom of the jorts cause he cut em a tad short

Water heater is switched out, now the wait for 85 gallons of water to heat up.

 

I'm quoting this before @Fargo Taco can edit it... The Hater Heater needs to be trademarked as it will likely be self sufficient.

 

Mmmm they just don't make em' like that anymore...
