I fueled up at the Rutherglen Esso before and after VMUTS. All the time spent at 7250 rpm and idling resulted in 27.2 L/100km or 9 mpg  This is with 91 octane at $1.87/L.

Ugh, i can just feel the cancer...
Is it a good idea? maybe. but the God of Offroading be damned if you brush against a tree...
advantages of this thing is : stupid light, can hold a kayak, can be easily removed
dissadvantages : built in calidornia with no regards to -20c weather, can tear and any patch work will look like my Dad's old pontoon boat, why would anyone with a brain get this?
nothing more than just a gimick IMO.

for the price i'd rather just get a lifting cap jack AND full campout set...

It's a route i wanted to go with before getting the Bakflip-styled tonneau cover. but couldn't justify dropping $4k on a cap + that system.

Cap for sleeping...4k? That's a heck of a lot of hotel rooms nights. :)

I still have and still thinking about using the Kamp-rite tent. But also thinking about one of the Gazelle tents now.
