That's the first gloss one of those I've seen. I like that a lot. Is that from the guy on Instagram?

Is it built that tall to allow for extra storage and cubby/lid access?

A ramp is a great idea, a few people on here have mentioned dogs getting injured leaving the back seat or even jumping off the tailgate.

I always worried about their paws/legs falling through the slides of my old 4Runner and FJ. I was constantly lifting them in and trying to help them out. They are trained/conditioned to get down to the floor before egress but it always made me nervous.

I used tint film on mine, basically the same thing, and got no errors. I don't actually use mine though.

Pinned the engine at 7250 rpm for about 10 minutes (stock redline is 6000). Interesting how much heat comes through the vents. Outside temp was about -4F.

Diamond Back HD is 115 lbs
    Apogee Bumper is 105 lbs

    Subtract anything you are replacing.

I have a lift with +200 lbs added capacity in front and back. so even with both I am higher than stock (actually have a .75 inch rake which I want to get rid of). I didn't expect the OEM bumper and hitch to weight 80 lbs!

If you already have the DB HD - put another 25-30 lbs in the bed and see if it sags?

All this talk about incredibly heavy bumpers is making me think more and more about building one out of carbon fiber. That's for 4 years from now me to worry about though.

Yep, I built it up to provide storage for my emergency kits, camping hammock and general small item storage.

One of my dogs actually just tore a tendon and we’re getting him ready for surgery (not truck related). But that was a big factor of me building this was trying to make sure he’s comfortable before and after his surgery and doesn’t strain himself too much.

Drilled and mounted my case. Simple yet for long trips it will be nice to store all the recovery straps and randoms.
still have to put a bead of water proof caulking on the holes but ya I’m happy with it..6B5A883E-927F-4387-9993-EB052A1F0E10.jpg72E6F819-F089-4719-B7A2-93B84B8DF20B.jpg

Got my storage case, recovery boards, and 42” Caliraised light bar installed on my prinsu rack before camping in the desert this weekend. Not totally happy with how the recovery boards mount but it def works and I ran out of time
