Yeah. TS, as given here, is offline only. No connection to the hive.

Per the precaution for PTS and keyed:

NOTICE: Any keys or ECUs for which registration has been performed cannot be reused.

If so, there should be details about that in the Lexus CC Key thread?

That was not my experience on the non-PTS side. I have three happy and functional keys with no more effort than shown in the videos.

Yeah, I've worked through this and what I thought was a clean card fob was actually already registered. I'm checking to see if I can clean it and make it a born again virgin again.

Well well well, given both my AT PTS MESO Fobs got washed (within 9 days no less), thankfully I found the second one before the load was thrown into the drier...the other one is completely dead, leaving me one fob that will only work with the door handle and obviously the PTS. Was looking at sourcing some replacements online vs the stealership, or even getting pop-a-lock or similar avenue for both key replacement and programming. Even cooler now knowing you can use techstream to bypass most of the annoying beeping with the engine running!

Even with most of the beeps gone, I still ended up cutting the speaker off of the instrument cluster. Now, it is beautiful silence.

TS Customizations are pretty nice though. Jump in!

I don't see how you can clear/reset this in the software. The primary ECU/Key combo have nothing to do with the new card key, so it wouldn't be able to connect to clear it. (Just my pea brain thinking).

Very useful when I was a competitive swimmer

Between ECU updates, amount of blinks the auto turn signal function can do...and now programming keys, it's becoming harder and harder to resist.

That said, I have a reputation to maintain, and bricking ECU vs. breaking or stripping a bolt/nut is easier to fix, at least at first glance.

The CC key should just be transmitting a code. Marry that code to your ECU, and done? That is all that we had to do on the keyed side. Register the transponder chip and then register the separate remote door lock.

It might be good to jump over to the Lexus CC thread? I'm sure those folks have the easy answers?

    Yeah!

Wait...exterior speaker or interior speaker? If interior does your radio still work?

You have my attention with this one! Do you have a mod reference?

Just the beep, bong, and turn signal speaker. There was a few threads. One pretty good one.

So if you open your door and then shut engine "off" (assuming smart key), does the security beep still happen? What about leaving it in neutral with engine "on", driver out of vehicle and door shut beep/screeching alarm?

There are no internal beeps or noises. The external speaker might still work, but I was able to turn that off completely in the Head Unit. IMHO, the door lock servos are all the sound that I need. :D

Not long ago, I realized that my dechroming / de-noising nuttiness was from riding almost exclusively for 12yrs before the Taco. I liked that interface.

If I ever get a TG lock kit, that will certain increase the sound quite a bit.

Two additional references. I used these two threads. That being said, I've only used new Lexus (mother-in-law's) and Toyota key fobs. Funny story: my mother-in-law did not want me to change any of her customization settings. Didn't trust me to not break her $60k Lexus. :D

I should have also mentioned that I used techstream to check/top off transmission fluid level after installing 2nd cooler. Pretty sweet.

Yeah. I have a couple friends that won't let me touch their stuff. Makes me laugh thinking about the average shop tech and the other half below that person.
