A few thoughts after 3 weeks of ownership.

Still not tired of gawking at the thing; it's gorgeous! I love CarPlay but I do wish it was wireless with a charging pad. I also wish all of the windows were auto. Our 2014 base model Prius has that feature, ffs. Hood is tough to see over sometimes. Seems a set of SeatJackers is in my future.

The ride is pretty smooth. Road noise is better than our Prius. Plan on getting the KDMax tune in the coming months, just want to get a feel for the stock throttle. I can tell where the improvements will (hopefully) come. Happy to have all-weather floor mats. Seats are easy to vacuum so far but I can tell the carpet is going to be a pain. (I'm a former detailer and modern carpets all pretty much suck, tbf.)

Not even a hint of buyer's remorse, but I feel like they could've thrown in a few simple things considering how much I paid.

Decided on the name Suki. It's a (very) rough translation of "moon" in Japanese. If anyone knows enough to correct me, please do!

I'm here in Durango Colorado you cant swing a dead cat without hitting 10 Tacoma's or Jeeps or Subaru's Ha! That being said out of the ocean of TRD Off Roads we have up here my 2022 Trail edition really stands out as I've been asked if I've got aftermarket wheels.

I do wonder why the truck didn't come with the wireless charging pad and the hood is harder to see over than my 96' Lexus LX450 full size vehicle.

I am kinda bummed that I did find out today that Ford is actually gonna make a Ranger Raptor for the north American market for 2023 with a V6 ecoboost twin turbo and all the other neato raptor stuff for the Ford Ranger. I was told that the Ranger Raptor was ONLY going to be available for Ford Australia. Knowing how the RAM TRX sold out like instantaneously and the crazy dealer markup is just on F150 Raptors is ongoing, I'll save myself the shoulda, woulda, coulda's of I had only waited.

3 weeks in on my Tacoma and don't have any complaints with my choice and actually glad the sales guy talked me out of the TRD PRO that I had a h*rd-on for when I walked into the dealership.

I'm glad you're enjoying your trail edition! As far as auto up/down goes, I was just reading the other day about a plug and play module you can buy to have auto up/down on all 4 windows and if I recall correctly it was around $100. I will definitely be doing that at some point

Also guaranteed the Ranger Raptor will be 50k+. Not quite fair to compare it to a 41k truck imo. I bet it will be cool though!

The good news is on a lot of these things, these are tacoma quirks in general, not just ones the trail suffers from. Charging pad would be nice, but wireless carplay is the real game changer. Wouldn't expect Toyota to be cutting edge on stuff like that, though.

I’m near Denver and it’s a similar story. Utah Lot at Mary Jane had at least 10 Tacos on Sunday. The sales guy talked me out of the lime green pro. Probably a good call. He then quoted me a lifted off-road with a high end package for 55k before TTT.

My friend came in from DC with a 2022 Terror edition. Its nice, TT4Cyl so a V^ would be nice, ride was nice too. Not for me, something just does't feel right when I drove it. Don't get me wrong its a nice truck but just prefer a Tacoma way more. Ford has nothing on a Toyota

Can someone post a picture of the switch panel on the left side of the steering wheel and the switch panel in the center underneath the radio for me? Trying to plan some stuff out, thanks in advance!

Don't have the center switch panel, maybe you can make that out with some zoom.

Thank you! And its all good, I was more curious about the side panel than the center anyway. So it comes with a fog light switch even though it doesn't come with fog lights? That's awesome because another member showed that the wiring is there too which means you can just pop new fogs into it and your done. Now I'm pumped to install the rigid fogs I bought lol

Lol damn thanks for crushing my dreams. I guess the fog install will take longer than expected. But I'm curious though, if the wiring for the fogs is behind the bumper, if the wiring for the switch is behind the panel disconnected and its just a matter of adding the oem switch for it

I’m waiting for someone to add fogs, so I don’t have to figure it out. :D There is a thread about checking if you’re pre-wired.

I take delivery tomorrow and have all of the OEM wiring harness ready to go. I am just waiting on my aftermarket SAE Fogs to get shipped.
