Well after seeing your pics I went and got the blue long reach jack also. Wanted one for a while but they were always out of the blue one.
Today they had one left and I was able to use the 10% coupon to get it for about $206 before tax.

yes vehicle purchases don’t work that way, they figure out once you register you pay full price. That’s why I never buy from a dealer, get used and have title gifted to you :)

this is hypothetical talk of course. I never understand why one would pay sales tax on a vehicle that already was purchased and payed sales tax on from the beginning.

Some states tax you every year on the value of your auto... :stirthepot:
    :stayontopic:

I digress... I am going to buy that Avanti Paint sprayer and the plug in extendable pole saw today I'm 99% sure.

Yep if same vehicle is sold many times during its life time the state rakes it in.
At least when I trade one in, the tax is only on the difference in amount of new vehicle cost minus the trade in. Would be killer to have to pay full tax on a new one.
Checked availability at local Harbor Freight of the long reach green jack that I want,(have to go green for truck) won’t be in till March. They been out of the stubby Icon metric wrench set for awhile that I want also.

Because sales tax is a use tax. They are taxing us for using our money, which is obviously b.s. The government feels entitled to take some of your money each time you spend it.

It's just real life monopoly is how I see it, and none of us get to be the banker unfortunately and I'll never own a hotel on park place or boardwalk!

To go back on topic, I visited HF this morning to take advantage of the last day of the Presidents day sale. Picked up a 3/8" breaker bar, I had the cheaper Pittsburg ratcheting one but neglected to see I never had an actual 3/8" bar, so we can say that collection is complete.

I have now renamed this bottom drawer the BAW drawer
    IMG_5943.jpg

I picked up one final case of gloves while they still had a "sale" of $10 as well.

I think I'm going to order that welding table today. I've been waiting for it to come back in stock locally, but it hasn't and is available online. the 10% off basically covers the shipping on it.

The welding table there is actually a Nomad from northern tool, but looking at the pictures side by side they look pretty identical.

    https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200434325_200434325

I leave mine set up almost permanently and use as a regular table too, because I'm lazy haha.

Talk about spamming your in-box! Northern Tool is crazy with their emails and “sales”

yeah I haven't bought anything from them in a while, but my inbox still is flooded with "last minute" and "extended" sales all the time. Shipping always kills any deals I can get there as I don't have any local. I have their engine hoist, engine stand, and a couple jacks stands from there and am happy with the quality. The nomad welding table was kind of disappointing as the hardware seemed cheap and the tolerances weren't great, had to bend a few brackets to get everything assembled which I would expect for a HF half price from the nomad.

Well… I didn’t get my HFT paint sprayer or electric pole saw.

I got there and found out my coupons were only good until yesterday. :frusty:
I will probably have to wait 30-60 days to get another deal on those two items or I’ll just rent a paint sprayer and buy a non powered pole saw pruner.

Took in my recalled 3 ton stands. Got store credit for $29.99 and purchased these using the coupon. Not bad for a straight trade for some stands that I paid $10 for on CL. Though, I did have to tell the employee how to do it.

I don't remember if this one was for the welds or for the extremely shallow latch. I think it was the latch.

The safety pawl could be in a position of partial engagement then pop out of place, causing the stand to fall under load.

The new design has better engagement and an added safety pin to keep it from falling
