What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Just checked and the paint is gone on the tailgate and the part it touches by the taillight. I’ll add a buffer next week once it stops raining and San Diego dries out. Thanks again for the head up

 

I was looking at 8” rims with a -12 offset hopefully for a little poke…i have a contact at a tire shop so I’m going to run some ideas by them and see if they will test fit different stuff for me. Sounds like you should be ok…I’m no expert with this stuff! I miss the days where I’d just cut stuff out of the way on my old trucks in high school.

 

If I had bought a used 2nd gen... it would be choppy chop chop all day. Brand new 3rd gen means nopey nope nope.

Truth!!! I feel the exact same way! I’m even debating the factory installed lift and spending the money to keep the warranty…I’ll probably end up doing my own lift and saving a couple grand!

 

Upgrade to these. It's idiot proof and better overall view. It's anti glare and prevents idiots with high beams on and its tinted blue!!!.. haha

After waiting almost 2 months for all parts to come in, I was finally able to do these upgrades over this long weekend:

• 25% Llumar Ceramic tint (front only to match stock in the rear)

Well I just got my options form for my GoFast, hoping to get it in late May... bye bye money.

 

Plugged in my truck for a trickle charge since there is no Magnuson/AGM battery tune available yet. Hopefully soon…

 

While I'd be interested in the extra viewing angle, I'm confused as to why I'd want a turn signal in the mirror itself when I have a turn signal on the outer housing that can be viewed from the rear. Also confused as to why I'd want blue tint.

 

Not the OP but any addition to letting others around you know of your intent to turn cant be a bad thing. Also it looks cool IMO. The blue tint does cut down on glare from anyone with high beams on or having the sun peaking over the horizon directly behind you. I purchased mine at cartrimhome.com

 

so I did go with the prinsu light bar mounts, mainly cause when I picked up the rack the guys at caliraised said I need it. But looking at the brackets the only difference I can see is that the ones that come with the Callieraised light bar may put the light bar lower and closer to the wind deflector.

 

Eh, I remain unconvinced. One, I think the extra amber light would serve to blind me as much as informing others. Two, I shouldn't be able to see anyone directly behind me with their highbeams on in my side mirrors anyway if they are correctly adjusted (and they are). And three, anyone beside me with their highbeams on shouldn't be there for long.

I'd still be interested in the basic version with no tint, no turn signal, and defrost but the rest of that just isn't my style I guess.

 

Do AGM batteries last longer than non AGM? What advantages do AGM batteries have?

I’ve had good experiences with battery life with Odyssey batteries in all of my cars.

 

Might be worthwhile to ask them. I just know that manufacturers tend to stray away from safety systems due to the assumed liability in claiming the safety feature is supported.
