I am running +1 K02 tires on a 2019 TRD Off Road. The door post placard pressure is 30 psi. I don't carry cargo, especially off-roading. Would there be any reason to set the pressure at 45 psi?

Yes LTs. I’ve been keeping them about 35 for street. The truck came back after service at 45. No explanation.

45 isn’t too far out of the question.

These are LT tires and need higher pressures or else the sidewalls will have a lot of stress on them.

My alignment guy raised mine from 35ish to 42ish and explained to me that you could even go a little higher.

Truck handles much better and mpgs are a tick better. And only a tad more rough on road feel

45 is way to high, 35 front, 32 rear is more like it. Good ride and traction.

For ofroading mayby even 15 psi is enaugh, and on road 20 psi if speed is not to high.
Let me calculate it for you, give weights on tires and tire specifications.

My guess is you are on 265-75-16 size 10ply K02? 45 is too high for a light truck. I went to 265-75-16 SL rated tires and have them at 30psi with flat tread wear on my '17.

I run my 235-85-16 K02 at 40 psi with this heavy pig and the tire tread wear is flat.
