Hello, I am looking at installing a ThinkWare F200 pro Dash cam.
It has Parking mode to keep an eye on my truck while I'm not around so it needs constant power.

I want to attach the wires via the fuse slots under the DS dash so I don't have to go through the firewall. Now I have the Fuse taps and wiring kit. I just need figure out which fuse is the Constant (will give the cam power while the truck is off)
*attached is a fuse box diagram for the cab DS fuse box...

Would I plug into the 20A D/L for constant power? and then 10A WASHER for the ACC?
That I'm guessing is my best bet, but just wanted someone else's opinion.

    Thanks!

When I installed my BlackVue 4K DashCam I used the fuse in the top location on the driver side fuse panel. If you look at it from ground level the top fuse should be empty and is constant power. Switch power is pretty self explanatory, take your pick. In the below picture it’s the fuse in the bottom left that has a line through it showing it’s empty.

Also I’m pretty sure I just used a low amp fuse like 2.5 or 5 amps. Can’t remember but could double check tomorrow if needed.

No Problem just message me if you have any issues, I just installed mine a few months ago so it’s still fresh in my mind.

When tapping into a fuse-block and using an existing circuit its best to use a circuit that is not important to the trucks function/safety.

For example taping into the USB or power outlet fuses would be better than tapping in to say the windshield wiper circuit or airbag circuit.

Exactly this. Also aim to use fuse slots that already have low-amperage fuses (5A or 10A) so that you don't stress the fuse block too much - I think of any slot approaching 20-30A as already fully utilized.

There is one already open and one that's labeled HAZ I think. I used the same fuses. I'll have to check in the AM what they are specifically. Unfortunately, I used tap-a-fuse that are 90 degrees, so no cover. Whatever.

MESO makes an extended fuse cover that will accommodate the add-a-fuse taps (and allow you to keep a label on the box). It has knockouts for wires or you can just dremel out the holes that you need.

Mine didn't fit until I used a grinder to cut the side (between two knockouts). You only need the top and bottom of the cover for it to latch onto the block. If your add-a-fuse is too tall then you can get a lower-profile one.
