they cost thousands of dollars the ones we have in the us are not the same and btw they have loads of issues a friend had a 200 series and it was plagued with issues and cost him thousands until he finally got rid of it..... i like the 100 series besides the torsion crap front suspension... dont care for the 80 series because ive dealt with them enough times to get annoyed with them... i like the 60 series and 70 series but not something i want or would care about i love the 55 thou most hate it but ive always liked it the 40 is a classic that almost everyone loves so ya


also not all are triple locked normally its an option

eddy has had more lc than anyone i know...
back in highschool he had two 80 series
1 was rusted badly in white but had the triple lock
1 no rust and red but no lockers

took good bits from the white one and put it in the red then sold it to move to Arizona

then had a 15 taco sport and bought a 100 series

sold both for a 200 series 1st one this one had loads of electrical issues suspension issues and trans issues sadly so he was upside down and screwed massively sold it

got a 1st gen tacoma that was extremely nice no rust 5 speed but prerunner so ran it for maybe a year then sold it for another 80 series

that one was good but again no triple lock and eventually the motor blew so he sold it for another 80 series that was a bit rougher but triple lock at least i think he still has that one?

he bought another 200 series it was very nice but started to have the same issues as the last and ditched it faster this time and got another 100 series

i think he has had 1 60 series but it was really bad! cant remember if it was fully his or half his and a friend i know he had another 80 series that was a parts vehicle as well

The 200 series has the 5.7 with 6 speed… which is one of the best drivetrains Toyota has ever made..

he never had issues with the motor the trans on the other hand was problematic on his first one... the 2nd one was fine on it! also just because it is good doesnt mean it wont have issues lol same goes for a ls, 4.0 jeep btw,22re and so on

you act like they are the best thing since slice bread... the 80 series had two different engines one was better then the other the older if i remember right is more of a pos the newer one works very well but is not perfect plus a few of these had higher miles i think his first 200 series was at 220k?
