Yeah, I've thought about going up to 285's but I honestly like the stock stance of the truck and for what I'm doing mostly (two tracks and forest service roads to lakes and rivers) I don't really need them. I thought about going with the skinny 33's because most of them don't seem to weigh that much more then a 32" tire and I wouldn't mind that little bit of extra clearance. Having to run a second set of tires in the winter would be a little cost prohibitive for me at the moment unfortunately.

I would never go back to the stock tune.. the diff is immediately noticeable in the manual.

Don’t think I’d have an issue with skinnies in the winter, just wish there was a winter flavor rubber out there

There is very noticeable and measurable (via mpg) difference in rolling resistance between the stock sl-rated tires and my e-rated skinny 33 mud terrains. Don’t concentrate too much on weight. Rolling resistance is caused by internal friction in the tire that causes it to convert kinetic energy into heat. It’s likely true that heavier tires have more rolling resistance because they have more rubber, but it’s not the weight that is causing the rolling resistance, it’s the extra rubber that needs to flex each revolution.

Ya the selection is limited. I might run a sl-rated skinny 33 if one existed.

A buddy just bought a new 2022 offroad. He basically then built a pro. Soooo I get to slap his stock shocks and new rims wheels on my old 07 manual access cab. I'm waiting on the shocks to install. This is going to look good.

    ADM too?

A get together would be cool to test out different combinations of tune and ADM vs stock to see how they all feel/work.

Yeah but you're still under warranty. Wouldn't want to ruin it over a shift knob lol :crapstorm:

Falken does. Wildpeaks are 3 peak rated. Not snow tires but they're a cut above the AT offerings, especially in the snow

Haha, I'll fully admit to being a pussy when it comes to the warranty. I have flash backs everytime I callto my first vehicle purchase (Grand Cherokee WK) and dealing with a bunch of bullshit at the dealership when a bolt broke on my engine a month after buying it. Same reason I'm hesitant to get the tune even though I know it's supposed to bea completely different experience with the MT.

Sorry, so much MN talk I thought we were in that thread! Guess a lot of us Minnesotans are M/Ters too.

When l first got the TSB l was really disappointed for about 75 - 100 miles as the cold idle was rough and abrasive, 6th gear had zero power, and MPG was abysmal. Then all of a sudden MPG went back to normal and 6th gear felt good again, the most noticeable difference is the 1st to 2nd shift as its way more forgiving now. The only downside was the Dealer charged me over 100 bucks, tried pursuing reimbursement and was rejected at every level.
