2022 Tacoma Discussion (Canadian edition)

Cool...ETA was mid-March so that would line up time wise. I always thought most vehichles came into St Johns Harbour by Oceanex but seems like it might come accross via truck on the ferry....and it's a townie tacoma for sure.

 

There is a black TRD OR at Whitby Toyota as of a couple hours ago had the TRD lift bed cover and step rails 65k oh ya and 265/70/17 k02’s still for sale!

 

Allocation question.

I made up my mind awhile ago to get a Sport Premium 6MT. I’ve missed out on one or 2 and was just going to order one and wait. Then the dealer offered a PRO that they have coming in that is unspoken for. I’ve thought about it but it’s auto. After thinking about it I thought I’d see if I could find not only an allocation but a 6MT.
I think most dealers will tell you what ever to get your deposit. I’ve have a few say they still have an allocation and can get one, one says there’s one out there and they will try for a dealer trade. But most say if the allocation isn’t filled by now it ain’t happening till next year.
I don’t mind waiting if I know I can get one, but don’t really want to wait to only find out 6 months later it ain’t happening. If that’s the case I’d just take the sport 6MT. I think I’d have a better chance getting that then a pro.

 

When did you place your order? I’m waiting for one in Halifax.

 

I’m in Vancouver BC, placed my order for an AG DCSB TRD OR Premium Nov 7. Just received a VTN today and my ETA is first week of June. Not the best news but atleast I have a date now.

 

I placed my order in early September. Dealer said the wait was longer than normal because I ordered a Trail Edition and apparently they are hard to get filled. I think they were actually surprised they got it as soon as they did.

I’m in Vancouver and placed an order for AG TRD sport Premium beginning of December. It’s in transit since last month. Should have arrived by end of this week but the date has been pushed twice now. Currently showing March 8-12 now. Hoping it doesn’t get bumped again!

 

Which dealer did you go through?

 

Damn, that does not make me feel good haha I placed my order end of Jan for the OR (non-premium) and at the time they said 4 months but guess it'll be longer... From which dealer did you buy?

Just emailed my dealer and they provided me with a VTN and ETA of first week of June (screenshot from inventory system).

For reference: North Vancouver - 6A DCSB Off-road in white, deposit placed and order made on January 29, 2022.

 

i just contacted my dealer, ordered Jan 22 - no ETA as of yet sadly ! 22' double cab, off road (non prem) - GTA (Ontario) for reference.

I ordered my '22 AG Sport Premium 6M DCSB on Jan21, delivery date is schedule between Feb 28-Mar 4. Peace Arch OpenRoad. It was one of the allocated trucks coming to the dealership.

check in with your sales guy. I had to bug mine to get any information.

I ordered a ac offroad manual on Jan 17th, dealer said it should be here last week of March. This was on van Island

 

My truck left the line on Jan 18th landed in toronto feb 3rd still not here called dealer again today said delayed till march 7th over a month sitting there would take me 25 mins to get to where it is..beginning to wonder if it has gotten damaged! Anyone else experience a wait like this once it has arrived?
