    Rear shock brackets almost done.

A bad picture of some bodywork. It needs more hammer and dolly but it's getting close.

I'm tempted to plug the holes up for the flares, flare the steel fenders, paint the truck, and lower it a bit but there's too much on my plate right now.

how hard was it? How many hours did it take you?
Might not be a bad idea to put a new radiator and upgrade to the poly radiator bushing mount kit which I think comes with body mount bushings, I forget the company name

The water pump is pretty easy, couple hours. The tensioner sucks, it’s really tight getting that out. That’s true not a bad idea to do while everything’s open

Oh nice! Mines the Gator SFX. Its already gone through a car wash and a quick rain storm and not a single drop of water got in so I am all around very pleased with it for the price.

Nice! Oh gotcha I think you’ve got the tri-fold then? I went with the Gator SR1 roll-up cover. Love it.

Slowly making progress on the harness. I’m waiting for more wire, terminals and connectors. The wires I added for the power/heated mirrors almost look factory.

Dropped it off at a shop this morning to get my LCA's installed. This is the first thing I have paid to have done to the truck other then a trans flush. I hate paying someone else to do work I can do, But its a balmy -7 F and I have a road trip coming up this weekend and I can't take the squeaking any more!

A few months ago I installed some super duper battery terminals because I was running so many accessories that it was becoming too difficult to connect them all the the regular terminals.

    Without.jpg

They work great but I was always worried that I might accidently drop a wrench or something across the terminals causing bad things to happen. So I came up with this.

I found a piece of 12" x 12" red Kydex plastic on Amazon. (The same stuff they use to make gun holsters).

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0777V7X27?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Then I cut out an 8" x 5" piece that roughly covered the whole Positive terminal. Then with a Heat Gun and a small metal putty knife I heated up the Kydex and with the putty knife began shape it to fit. Periodically I would stop, allow the Kydex to cool down to retain the shape, and make little cuts here and there to make it fit around the wires.

Well it ain't exactly pretty, but it's functional and stays in place rather well. I still have some Kydex left over so I may take another shot at it since I've had some practice.

Installed the TRD Quickshifter on the X-Runner; since I was already doing that, went ahead and drained and filled the transmission with MT-90. Turns out the truck already had the quickshifter but it's pretty much destroyed. Didn't take pics as I'm in a hurry but I followed the instructions included, everything went smooth.

Yeah honestly I have no reason why I got a trifold over a roll up one. Guess it was just the first one I saw:D

Now that I have a shell I need to add a tailgate lock and get the 3rd brake light tied in. Anyone have this detailed in a their build thread that I can creep on?

I don't have a write up or anything but its easy. Pop and Lock tailgate locking handle, (not the best but the only one I know of) and then take off a taillight and tie into the brake light wire for your 3rd brake light. Just make sure to add a fuse between the tail light and topper light. I'm sure something like a 10amp would be fine. I can tell you what size mine is and take some pictures when I pick up my truck today.

Yeah I haven't heard great things about the pop & lock, wasn't sure if that was still the go to option. I saw the wiring from the existing guys set up that I bought it from and he had a 3rd wire ran to the battery, but I couldn't find any other aux lighting
