Well, sounds to me like you wssted your money on 4wd. If you got skeelzz you can do it all in 2wd. :D

Your truck looks good and 4wd will get you most places. But when someone says mts and locker dont help they are totally ignorant of offroad capabilities.

    Haha!

Im selling my 31s once I fix my abs wire, and will be getting 255/80/17s. Rear locker will be going in the near future as well. Well a winch, front slim bumper, sliders, gas tank skid and my truck will be pretty much compete.:D

Nice. Any idea on what tire? I have ST Maxx's in this size and they are great off road, quiet on road. MPG will take a hit though.

Nice man! Quiet? Really? My truck is our only vehicle so I’m trying rally hard to stay away from MTs. Are you on stock wheels? And we’re you able to keep stock mudflaps?

I’m thinking toyo at3, general grabber, duratracs, wildpeaks, toyo MTs and Stt max look freaking awesome but we do a lot of road trips in summer, and I prefer a tire with a snowflake.

You got any pics of the truck?

I need a AT that has good traction on icy roads and that is hard to find. The BFG KO2's are not it. For me the Nitto terra grappler g2 did well in snow, and was better on ice/snow pack than the KO2. Have not tried the wild peaks, but I think my next tire, if it comes in the size I want, is the pro comp AT. I had these on my F350, that I used several times to pull overloaded suburbans/urban suv's, out of snow banks in the breck area. It worked really well on that truck. Grip on icy/snow pack was excellent. But maybe the oversized tire on the heavy truck combo is what did it. I don't know.

Yes - don't waste your money (unless you've got money to waste). Get a TRD OR and have fun with the mods. You can make it your own.

Yeah surprisingly they are quiet. As they age they probably will get louder though. No on the front flaps. They rubbed in reverse with 265/70/17's that I had before these. Honestly I have never tried them with the 255's. Clearly not the stock wheels, you know what they are, also I'm lifted about 2", but that shouldn't matter as much as the offset.

Good luck with your choice, I had wildpeaks before and really liked them too. AT3's are on my list for next time.

I'd go SR or OR depending on availability, if you're going to mod and have the time.

But its not a waste getting a TRD OR or Sport premium right? And then upgrading it and adding pro grille, wheels, skidplate etc. Sure, you have better suspension now, half of us hardly off-road and don't need it. I prefer a slightly higher payment with everything i want than having to upgrade for almost nonsense off-roading 3-4 times a year.

I looked at the Pro and was very close to getting one. Glad I passed. Loaded TRD OR with the leather and sunroof you want. Added Eibach all around and Icon Add A Leaf, Skids from BAMF, 33" BFG MT, sliders from Cali Raised and still ahead vs getting the Pro. Don't have the cool badge tho

    Either way, both good trucks

    I went with a Limited since it's basically a loaded up SR5.
I wanted all of the top comfort and safety options, but also have plans on upgrading virtually everything that you are paying extra for with a TRD Pro.
Even though I don't have the OEM TRD lockers, I figured going aftermarket ARB would be better.
Depending on what key options you are looking for, I think it's a better value to go with an SR5 and build it out better than a TRD Pro.

Ko2s did fine when i go ice fishing and drive trough mountain passes, but I know there are better all weather tires. The problem is, its so hard to find tires over here now days. Also States seem to have more choices than here. I called so many places when looking for 275/70/17 wildpeaks, one place had them I and got quoted 2K... when should be around 1300-1400 max.
Never tried G2s or Pro comps. Seen G2s in person and they do look like a good tire. I think they come stock on some 4runners.

    Thanks!

Man, the truck looks great! Those tires just look so tough and beefy.

I had a bit of "touching" at the front mudflaps when taking sharp turns and going over bumps, with 2" lift it doesnt touch at all. Well Im glad to know that you are running sema wheels and have no issues with rubbing anywhere else. I cant wait for some 255s!

Don't know that G2's ae btter overall. Wildpeaks look like they fit the bill. I have KO2's on the 4runner and wrangler ultras on the taco. I currently dont even have G2's, lol. A buddy had G2's and didnt like them.
