No bro. My racing days ended in the 90's. Now I just try to make it up the hills without having a stroke :D

@Gunshot-6A what are your plans for lodging when you come down for the race in Ely, Nv? I was thinking about finding a camp spot (free 99) and brining my solar shower so I can get a decent shower after the event, I will hit the hot springs in Austin Nv on my way home for soak and beer time.

@ginseng has a whole gaggle of people going down apparently, so I was gonna snag a spot with him wherever he is. IF that doesn't pan out, I have a backup plan.

I got room for you on my backup for sure, not sure the deets on Jin's plan. But there's a lot of BLM land around so I'm sure it'd be fine.

My backup at Ward Mtn is nice cuz its literally on the racecourse (or was in 2018), so its a good place to stage water and beer if you play your cards right.

smart. I am def brining my solar fridge, cold beer on demand is a must in the hot NV desert, especially after a good ride.

Oh yeah, I'll have beer and popsicles in mine for sure. Weather was pretty great last time I did this race, but its so variable, who knows whatll happen this year.

I used to tell our older daughter "both hands!" all the time!!! It actually became a joke for her and when I would take a hand off to have some water or even while driving she would tell me "both hands dad."

I am one of four, have three nephews, and our second is now 7 months. I still have no idea what to expect!!!

Best thing I can tell you is that it gets a little easier and a little more fun every 6 months or so.

We are first time parents too so not too far ahead (she's 19 months). I'll echo that it gets more and more fun as you've probably already noticed. 12-18 months was a blast for our little one. Lots of physical development. The last month or so has been a huge jump in speech/communication. Fun times you have coming (and tiring if yours is anything like ours and busy busy busy).

Also every kid and family is so different so go with the flow and trust your instincts! They usually make it pretty clear when they are ready for something.

Did you remove the bed rail cap and re-install it backwards before bolting on the Driveshaft mount? There is a small overhang on the bed rail cap that points toward the back of the bed in the stock position. Flipping the bed rail cap around gets that overhang out of the way so the Driveshaft can mount flush to the bed rail. This will make it a lot easier to bolt on and stay securely bolted. Flipping the bed rail cap won't interfere with the back of the cab. Much better solution than flipping the mount upside down.

Its not any better here in Brazil and all the trails are wrecked. I went to the mountains few weeks ago and the roads are sketchy with parts of the roadway starting to slope to the edge. I drove up 1 dirt road with a FWD ford 5-speed. It was a good lesson in driving manual on slippery slopes and bad tires. I am missing my tacoma!
