Thanks for the info, is there an easy way to determine that or does the dealership have to do it?

Ogie, Check out the billet machined shift knob from AJT Design in Traverse City, Michigan. https://www.ajtdesign-llc.com/online-store/Tacoma-c42607405 I just ordered a key fob case from him. I've dropped those enough to see the case back pop, so having it screwed together looks like a great idea. Choice of colors isn't bad either.

Thanks I'll definitely check them out. Would be cool to support a local brand.

In this thread, you will find the information. To do it yourself, it does require a couple things.

Understandable. I had so many warranty headaches dealing with my LJ...

That being said, the tunes aren't detectable by dealerships and don't avoid anything. The reason they don't avoid anything is because they're not physically changing any part out and they're not just massive throttle dumps that would show wear and tear in different parts of the engine.

Driving a MT requires more than just shifting gears.:rofl:

The TRD shift knob is worth it in my opinion. I highly prefer the look over the stock knob, and gripping it feels nice too.
Shift knob and 2-lo mod are the only changes I've made to my truck. Definitely recommend the 2-lo mod as well. I don't use it that often, but when you need it, it's so nice to have.

I know, I see it talked about here almost daily. Maybe this spring/summer...
It's hard for me to even imagine what the delete must feel like because I'm so used to the accumulator already, so I don't have a strong sense of urgency on it. Other than word of mouth from everyone here.

Same setup on mine with the TRD ball knob. The grey isn't quite a perfect match to my Cement, but it is close and looks and feels great. I liked the TRD Pro knob too, but the ball just feels better to me.

Same here as well. I hear about the ADM constantly, but I'm used to stock so I don't feel a great need to do it. But maybe driving someone's who has it will change my mind, so hopefully a meet up will happen eventually and someone will let me test it out so I can feel the difference.

If it wasn't for the leather seat and all-weather floor mat, I would have thought that was a picture of my shifter :D:thumbsup:
