Anyone know a good shop to do a transmission fluid flush? I'm located in eastern Connecticut.

^the post the started this thread^
If your here for a writeup on coolers go to page 5, if the want to see people "discussing flushes" see the first 5 pages.

Dealer...Get a price from a few different dealers and then have the dealer of your choice price match the cheapest.

Don't even trust the dealer to do an oil change right.

Then do it yourself. There are plenty of how-to's on here.

Understandable, but if you don't trust them how would you trust someone else? It is pretty easy to do.

Just shop around locally and see what everyone says. Make a day of being on the phone I guess.

I’m in eastern CT too. I think you will find the consensus is to perform a drain and refill versus a flush. I do mine myself. I’m going to do mine in the next month or two. If you’d like you are welcome to come over and we can do yours too.

My Dad took his Chevy pickup to a quick oil change place. They stripped the threads on the oil pan had to tap the threads and put a bigger drain plug on. You would think they would know how to do an oil change.

Thanks Montana. I’m the real deal. I can do it right. I wouldn’t subject myself to failing in front of all theses certified DIYers. Gotta warn ya though. I’m a bit on the OCD side with this stuff, lol. Probably gonna want to get all your stuff right.

Feel free to come to Montana and help me out! lol. I am the same way man. Never done a "closed system" but the setup was surprisingly similar on a previous F150. I got all the research saved and "watched" so I can refer to it when it's time for me ;)

Just bugs me I can't check the level using a dipstick. Really no reason to not have one.
