Once you go tubeless, you'll never go back willingly. Its so nice, esp here out west where there's lots of pokey things.

I will carry the 29er tube with me on the bike JIC, but yeah so fart its nice. too much snow on the ground here to ride, thought about trying to do a 29+ tires, 29x3 or 29x3.5 make it to ultimate rolling machine, even putin would be scared.

but now I'm not sure it was an issue with the tubeless. I've still been having issues with that wheel, and it's bothering me a lot...

that's what we (me and the bike shop) thought at first, but they re-sealed it, basically re-did the tubeless set up on it, but it still kept going flat. so I ended up reverting both wheels to tubed, but the back wheel still goes flat after a day or two. even replacing the tire a couple times, it still slowly loses air. it holds pressure long enough to do a ride (even a fairly long one) but I every time I put the bike away, and then look at it in the next few days, the rear wheel is flat, and the front wheel is still holding pretty much the same pressure as when I inflated it.

I'm guessing its just something with the wheel, but since it holds through a ride, and I don't have the cash in hand for new wheels, I haven't bothered taking it to another shop for work/replacement.

Yeah, that sounds like either a leaky valvestem (I've had a stealthy one that didn't hiss or anything) or a teeny crack in the rim somewhere

yea I thought about the valve stem, but I don't think its that, since it still happens despite changing it, and the tube several times. Hence why I think its the rim, and why I'm just procrastinating on doing anything about it.

yep...many times...it is AWESOME!! Probably gonna be packed on weekends now, so if you can get out during a week day - when everyone else is in school - you might have the place to your self.

    Where are you coming from?

i was having an issue with my rear wheel slowly leaking. id have to pump it like every ride even if i rode the day before. kinda just accepted that was my life from now on.

then i went out with a friend and he rode it. he didn't do anything but ride it since it was his first time on a mountain bike.

    now the tire holds air.

no idea what happened, but ill take it.

havent been on that bike in a couple months, but it has more air than my front tire right now
