I am looking at putting in leather seats in a new SR5. My pickup doesn't have heated seats which is something I want. Does anyone have pictures of the heated seat install and where they placed the control buttons. I would also like to know how they work.

    Thanks

I just picked up my new Tacoma last Saturday, a custom shop installed heated Katzkin leather seats. The leather is nice, I'm sure a lot depends on the individual shop doing the installation. The heater switch is on the lower left side of the seat, it has a high and low setting. It was 2 degrees this morning, the heater worked well.

I’ve been looking into the katzkins with heated seats I just have been waiting to save monies for it.

I like how your seats came out and the switch location for the butt warmer.

Doing basic black leather with black stitching was $999. The two front seat heaters were $299.

Wow, I got my numbers right off the receipt in front of me. Were your numbers from the Katzkin online web site or an auto shop? I wonder if the shop that did mine has an arrangement with my dealer since the dealer set up the work before I paid for the truck. Kudos to the dealer, he didn't know there would be the $50 pickup fee plus the $10 and ate that amount.

Send @jhuey8947 a pm. He can hook you up with the leather and heaters. You can install yourself or find a local shop to do it for you. $2300 is outrageous.

Clazzios are MUCH cheaper options too. For that price I think just going with leather from the beginning would have been a better option.

For roughly 5-600 can get you the basic skins, 100 on tools (snips/angled hog pliers / hog rings), 150 more less gets you heaters. Prices can be off 50 here or there due to the times

install isn’t hard just a bit time consuming. Not many videos but there is one that is a play by play (w/out any guide/sound)
