You convinced me to order one, it's on its way. I'd be lying if I said I didn't sort of want to get a ball knob since I bought the truck, maybe i'll plastidip or paint it if I can't stand the grey.

    You'll like the gray

It's a good gray. It doesn't really match anything in my truck either, but it just has almost like a glowing quality to it that looks so good.

I saw some reviews on it that said it's kind of light. Have you had any issues with it? Looks like I need to buy a 5/8" grommet as well.

I second this, the grey doesn't match anything else in the truck, but yet is still a perfect match. I couldn't be happier with the look or the feel.

The grommet thing works OK I guess, but doesn't look very good IMO. If you can, I'd recommend a trailbreaker collar for it (look at other products in his store for different color and words I think), it really ends up tying it together much cleaner.

Not if you like the exposed shaft look. If you go underneath the boot you can cut the strap that holds the original collar and remove it, then slip the boot back on to the shaft a bit and zap strap it to the shaft. I think it a nice retro look.

Tried to load a picture but it wouldn't load for some reason....

It is a very light gray. Almost a dark white if that's a thing. The color is just right.

I did the zip tie method (see no collar in my photo above). Pull the whole center console cover up to access the underside of the shift boot. Clip the zip tie holding the existing plastic retainer, pull the top of the boot part-way inside out down the shaft, and zip-tie it at your desired height.

Lol my 8 year old son had to explain this to a neighbor who borrowed my sport (my sons 8 can drive it like a pro), reverse connection to trailer is sketchy as hell.

I think I'm going to try the exposed shaft look first, I'll definitely keep this guy in mind if I don't end up liking it. Thanks for the link, his stuff looks pretty nice.

Has anyone tried 3d printing a knob yet? Or would that be too light? My buddy has a small 3d printing business if anyone has a pattern.

None that I am aware of. As for weight, it would be nothing to create a pocket in the design to stuff a fishing weight in there to get the right feel.

My trailer is light and I can easily man handle it wherever I need too, but I just did the 2lo mod. Wow, is that a good mod for reverse. I have used it to parallel park on hills. It makes it so much easier and with so much more control. Well worth it.

I bought this plug and play kit off a member here...

I did but used 100% fill. Not the greatest print and a ton of sanding afterward.

    IMG_20180412_181813.jpg

After that, I asked @7r41lbr34k3r to make me a knob. Much better solution and light at 162g.

Still loving it to this day along with his V2 Collar.

I like that rear window decal! Reminds me of the one on a Tacoma that parks on a downtown street. His AF Veteran plate reads "BRRRT" and I know that sound, look up and see the decal - muzzle end of the GAU-8 and the nose of the A-10 Warthog that carries it. Save the Altoids container for your engine compartment mouse repellent, securely housing a cotton ball soaked in mint oil.
