You joke, but I seriously considered getting my reservoirs wrapped with different beer can labels. Unfortunately the wife gave me a disappointing look and I moved on.

After far too many hours of research, I went with the Rugged Treks, concerned they wouldn't perform as well on the snow as the Wildpeaks. I've only had them for a couple days, but the tires have seen the full winter experience here in Colorado for those days. Hard pack on asphalt, foot deep freshies on the steepest road in Boulder County, freshies on offroad trails...you name it. I'm thrilled with my purchase, and the E loads are no rougher than my SL Wildpeaks for now. ~$1500 out the door w/cert from Discount Tire hurts a bit, but damn are they sexy.

*Note: Bro lean is due to cargo, not personal preference.

I just installed a set of 265/70-17 on my 2019 TRD Sport. I absolutely love the way these tires look. I haven't had a chance to put them through the ringer yet but the on-road performance is on par with the BFG KO2 that I had on my 2013. The Coopers are a letter better in wet road conditions but also a tad louder. Overall, I am very happy thus far.

Looks great! Are these e loads? Are the XL versions equal to C loads?

I am curious how these perform compared the wildpeaks. Seems like that are close in price.

I think the worst tire website I've found is the Canadian Toyo site. Drop down menus broken all over the place. Been like that for three years.

Interestingly, Cooper rates the Rugged Trek higher than ST Maxx for trail performance:

wish they'd make the Rugged Trek's in 285/75/16. I've got the ST Maxx now but they're overkill. These would be perfect but I don't want to go up or down a size and don't want to get 17" rims. I emailed Cooper last week to ask and they said they've got no plans to make new sizes. Bummer.

The lack of 33" 16's is truly disappointing. There's a set of 16" wheels tempting me, but I like these tires enough, that I'm sticking with my 17's so that I can run them in 33".

right!? across the board it's lacking. So many more options for 17s but I don't want to switch. I like the look of more tire less wheel.

I'm probably gonna go with the AT3 LTXs next once these ST Maxxs are through. Should be another summer or two before then so hopefully Cooper will throw me a bone and roll out some new Rugged Trek sizes...

I can't wait for cooper to release the 33/16 so you can make the jump to the forged side!

Mine are the XL load. If I am not mistaken, the primary difference between XL and C load is that XL load is 4 ply and C load is 6 ply.

One of the most appealing specs for this tire is that the XL load only weights around 46 lbs. Obviously, acceleration is more labored with the 265/70 Rugged Treks than with the 265/65 Toyo A30 that came on truck from the factory, but it is a lot better than something like the SL 265/70 Nitto Ridge Grappler which weighs 54 lbs.

Yeah I noticed that weight as well. I'm currently running the Toyo open country AT3 in 255/80/17 e loads and they check in at 50lbs which is great, but I'd be fine with trying this XL tire next time around if I get tired of these 33s. But so far I'm happy with the Toyos. Just glad there's another good option here with these coopers.

295/75/16’s and I would order today, they have crap for sizes in this tire.

I see your neck of woods is getting hammered by our current winter storm. How are the tires performing on road and off road in the snow? Durango got about 5 inches but most of it melted on Tuesday.
