I’m pretty happy with my 120v mig, we’ve had some fun.

Never gotten to play with a 220v, so maybe I don’t know what I’m missing.

Hahahahaha! My trail gear adaptors have had more mods done on them by me to fit than them to make it.

I'm just anxiously waiting for our house to be done.

We're going to use the 'ready to install' EV charger section of our circuit breaker for a dedicated 50/60 amp circuit for a welder.

I'm used to running on 3 different transformer-based machines at work, so it'll take getting used to a much smaller, inverter-based setup once I start welding from home.

Interesting; fogging is never an issue for me when it comes to using respiration or not. I just prefer to keep my beard and the damn rubber mouth piece pulls my damn hairs and it hurts :anonymous:

    Steal?

I didn't know it was only 120V; you should just let me have it at this point cause even then, you'd be robbing me of storage space :luvya:

I know, had to buy one for the wife when the first surge hit. No way in hell was she going to re-use a fing N95 and put it in a brown bag for a week. Comfortable and top notch protection. 3M knows their business.

Really, you're not missing too much.

The 220V boys will weld slightly thicker material, and will run at a higher duty cycle but that's it.

There are some not-so-expensive 240V machines like the Hobart Ironman that'll easily weld 1/2" and still have a 60% duty cycle at 200A.

Just be like the welders that do are ammonia pipe.
Got some small miller stick welder that will do single or 3 phase at any voltage

You'll see above I said just that; I'd rather do stick :welder:

I've run all rods in 1/8" and 3/32" but none of the stuff that's larger or smaller.

Would love to run 6013 rod in a 1/16" or 5/64" diameter on sheet metal. But TIG welding thin stuff always looks better.
