Trailer fenders have a rough life to begin with, don't want to make them more vulnerable to damage.

 

Hope it’s not on 4th ‘n long & you got the wind at your back. I’m told home field makes a difference too.

 

I'm having a hard time tempering my desire for the truck that checks all my boxes, maybe not diesel but a full sized ______ with leather and the capability to drag a larger boat 5 years down the road. Guys I work with are buying Trail Boss' and At4's. I'm not at all a keeping up with the Joneses kinda guy but the time for a change is coming.

 

What's better for structural like a truck frame, slot style rosette welds or circular? @six5crèéd ? Think about adding 3/16" or 1/8" thick x4"W plate along the frame and then welding my sliders to it.

 

Slots would be good, gives you some support where you wouldn’t otherwise have it

 

My buddy who owns the powder coat place bought a new AT4 Duramax less than 2 years ago. He wanted white, settled for black cause it’s all he could find. $78k

He told me last week he’s thinking about trading it for another one since it’s paid off

It is nice but my goodness the price.

 

It depends on if it’s wore out or not, I understand what you are saying about everything, depends on what you want/need one for too.

 

Paid 78, puts 50k miles on it, trades it for 70, lol. We are living in a bizarro world right now with vehicles.

So today's interaction with my dealer, I should've told the guy, easy hot rod I have over 700 tacoma world posts the young guy and his parts manager are telling me that Southeast Toyota has its own proprietary parts line, and that this cv axle that they want say $210 is the same as the oem one. I said no thanks. I'll order it from a place that has it in stock and is over $100 cheaper for actual OEM. Thanks for nothing. I just generally enjoy beating up on dealerships because of how greasy they are. No offense to anybody that works at one, just my opinion.

That is what i look like when my winter coat grows out from the head down !!

Talk about clogging drains and shedding when it gets warm.

 

One does run into that attitude since all Toyota dealers are independent.

It took some training till I got my Local dealer parts manager up .to speed .

Now after 25 years of doing business we are both getting ready to pack it in.

 

Since that trailer seems to be being built for a customer I would ask them what you should do.

In the past with things like that no matter what i decided on my own it was wrong.

 

i gotta agree with all the extra goodies that seem to be well cared for not a bad starting price .

You can always drop the price though now days people might offer $500.00 over your asking price but I was never that lucky.

Not the usual pile of rusted goodies the owner thinks are worth a fortune.

 

Now since I have been out of a serious relationship with any women for 20 plus years.

I went out to lunch with a former coworker the other day since it was my treat I was buying a nice round figure of $25.00 i pull the cash out of my pocket to have the waitress take the money .

My friend asks for the cash he wants to put the bill on his credit card He says his wife pays the bills does not check things that close this gives him a extra $25.00 in his pocket .

While working we all thought if we looked up Hen Pecked his picture would be displayed.

Is this fairly common or is he just stranger then me.

Seems strange... my wife pays all the bills, but I spend how much I want on what I want, as does she (within reason...).

 

Perhaps she cut his allowance I don`t know.

Thinking back He would never make a decision without talking to her to see if he was allowed .

If he could not contact her He would decline doing what you asked like going out for pizza after work.

 

I made this too tall so I cut it apart and shortened it 5/8”.






Then didn’t like the top bars so I made them longer and cut them off again.
