Nice! Pretty jealous over here. If I leave I am headed home to swap axles out of my coworkers truck. Atleast we planned ahead enough yesterday to move it over into my shop yesterday.
    Thats good

I live at the base of schultz pass and we also had about 9” this morning. Im at Snowbowl now and theyre claiming 12” which is probably close. So windy its hard to tell until I can get in the trees. Lifts seem to be running so hopefully they open on time.

I wish. Didn’t get season passes this year and am doing maintenance on the truck today rebuilding all my control arms.

That said my recovery services are down for today so no one go getting stuck. You’re on your own if you do

Just a couple of inches of wet cement in PV. Got it shoveled and salted before it freezes tomorrow.

Definitely deeper than 12” in some spots but its so hard and thin underneath that you have to be careful everywhere. Ive already taken a few really hard core shots on rocks/trees that were invisible. Hopefully it keeps snowing all day like theyre saying. Another foot would be amazing.

Also Ill be down around lunch and can play rescue guy in place of Ryan later if anyone gets stuck!

There was a lot of snow and its been snowing all day. Tomorrow morning will probably be really good as well. Definitely up to at least 12" at my house now.

Truck is back together and ready for recoveries. Y’all can proceed to ducking up and getting stuck.

You mean offroad? Cinders is prob the best bet. Most of the forest roads around here get closed for winter.

Last night I was running some errands so naturally I wound up at Harbor Freight "to look around" and came home with this $30 stand I figured I could adapt to work with my baby drill press. It turned out to be bigger than expected so I cut two feet off a 2x12 I had laying around and bolted the drill press and my bench grinder to it. Fun little project that will work much better than constantly finding a spot to put the drill or grinder and hope it doesnt vibrate off the table while Im using it. Not bad for $30, an hour of time and some bolts I had in the tool box to mount stuff.

*forgot to add that I red loctite'd all the bolts for the stand since its kinda chinzty

Looks good! Is there enough weight to keep from pushing the stand when grinding?

Thanks! Its got some decent weight to it, not enough if you really had to force something against the grinder but it also has rubber feet so it grips the floor pretty well. Its definitely movable so I can just put it up against a wall if I need to.
