I had @oostroma build a shift knob with a latching relay to power my light bar with @MESO switches

 

I'm running the 701s on mine, and I absolutely love how they look. Whichever ones you end up getting, you won't see many others around with methods on. In the 8 months since I got the 701 on, I have seen ONE other truck with them, and that was literally this morning, and I have seen 3 trucks with any other methods at all in Montana. Here's the before and after from when I got them on. I was torn between the 701 and the 705, and the deciding factor was that the 705 were out of stock in the black, so I went with the 701 because they were in stock.

 

Is the light mounting hole axis on your Rago Fabrication bracket parallel with the vertical axis of your truck? I just installed the brackets after buying them a few months ago, and the Rago 3/4" antenna mount extension for my VHF/UHF antenna.

The factory rims were 265/70/16, the methods I got on are 265/65/17. Once these KO2s wear out, I'm going to upsize a little bit, but with me putting 30k miles on the truck in the last year, I kept the stock size for fuel economy reasons. I'm thinking of hopping up to a 275/70/17 next set of rubbers(if I can find a good set in that size at least)

 

They look awesome! I'm torn between bronze or black. This makes a good case for black.

 

Personally, I love the blacks and the bronze equally. I would have gone with the bronze, but the blacks look way too good on the MGM. The end goal with the truck has always been a total blackout. So far has been a FULL de-badge, with the only markings left being the TOYOTA in the grille, the TACOMA that's embossed in the back of the tailgate. Mirror blinkers are blacked out, and now the final bit left are the headlights, which would already be done if the blacked-out factory LED ones weren't so damn expensive!!

 

I've considered the same thing as I think all black and white look good together...at the same time I like the pop the bronze rims give to the white and black trucks. First world problems I guess!

 

Grey wheels would look good on black, or Black on Black is good too.

 

No kidding. Personally, I would go with the contrasting with black and white, but at the end of the day, it's your truck. (Another reason I went with the full blackout style for mine is that black parts are a lot easier to find than bronze parts that are all the same shade of bronze)

 

The victory one does this too. They were unhelpful and know about, but don't care to disclose this issue upfront.

I just ended up bending mine back. No windshield clearance issue with hood up.

 

That is definitely something I've thought about too. I've noticed such a variation in the rim colors that are bronze it's crazy...then you add brushed copper in there.

 

The black stuff is (in my experience) way more predictable and reliable with uniformity than the other colors. I just didn't want to have to try to track down stuff that all matches, and then deal with returning/exchanging stuff that wasn't the right match, but I'm also just a lazy bastard who likes how things look murdered out a little too much.

 

I'm the exact same way. I'd probably put it on knowing it doesn't match then complain and obsess about it until I replaced it all, I'll really have to consider going with black rims.

 

Definitely keep me posted with what you end up going with! Whether you go with bronze or black, I'm just happy that someone else is finally getting method rims!!

 

Will do! I've been looking at them or the SCS Ray 10's but those seem hard to get and pretty pricey! A buddy of mine is also looking at getting some methods down the road.

 

Haha, no sir no issues. I usually split them and keep the poles below cab height so no low hanging trees yank out my guides lol

Threw the cover on. 5 to 8” of snow / ice between tonight and Friday. I work from home so I don’t expect to go anywhere in between. I only snag the single car garage when my girls family is out of town. When I own a house (someday) a garage is a requirement!
