My wife and I have been sharing use of the Taco since new 6 months ago. In that time, I've been preparing and seeking out a new ride for her and it just finally happened on Taco Tuesday 2-22-22!

I intercepted a '22 Toyota RAV4 AWD XLE in my favorite Lunar Rock flavor before someone else beat me to the punch. It's Dog eat Dog out there for these things, no different then new Tacos.

Pretty stoked about it. She drove it to work today for her first time. I'm spending some time today detailing and scrubbing out the cooties on the Taco. :D

Does Tacoma World have a sister site for RAV4's? Haven't found anything that's very well put together.

    Blacking out wheels tomorrow.

First I find out that you park on the lawn, then I see you're the neighbor that still has their Christmas lights up. Damn man; get it together!

Congrats on getting your man-card back!

    LMAO!
You're very observant. I won this years competition with my neighbor across the street. He turned his lights off at night mid-January. Not me! :santa:
I do need to take them down, though.

but you're right! I really wish that 6 months ago I could even come close to getting a Moon Rock but they were completely covered in unobtainium. o_O I still love my whitey. :p

I, too lusted after Lunar Rock but was told it wasn't available in this area in the trim line I wanted. Maybe true, maybe not, but I am not unhappy with the Cement. So I bought a Yeti Rambler cup in the greenish color and have settled for that. If we really want a different color there's always paint or a wrap, right?

You're both wrong. Voodoo Blue is the best color on Tacoma. The "prison gray" aka "Cement Gray" looks oooog-lee.

My Taco and her Rav came in at the exact same time so I didn’t have to share. One arrived the day before thx giving and the other the day after.

What do you think when you drive them back to back? I wish the Taco had as nice of a detailed interior, and I’d really like her gas mileage, but beyond that I’m really happy when I get back in the Taco. I can’t stand the sound of the RAV4 engine!

I've also done the Rav/Taco household thing.

No cooties though, my wife has never driven my truck.

My wife hates driving my truck, she thinks its too big, she's happy with her KIA Rio and I'm happy with mine.
Gratz on the RAV, it's good to have a 2nd reliable vehicle.

    Cool man!

Before I got the taco I was considering a rav-4 hybrid prime. Glad I didn't. Maybe in the future... But I'm keeping the taco for life as long as Montana doesn't get to it sooner.

Now you can put things on the passenger seat and not move them. Literally my favorite part of finally being single. I've had coworkers previously come and try to join me on a break... Lmfao... Sorry bruh, seats taken. Got the EDC pack and an uncle mikes organizer attached to the seat. No passengers for me.

LOL to the No Passengers! The last couple months had my wavering on the Hybrid which is AWD. It's a bit tough finding a non-hybrid AWD and then the Moon Rock flavor adds another layer of unobtanium. The hybrid aspect sure looks good on fuel, especially the way things are going in the world now. We're gonna get fucked even more so with this BS. I'm already paying $4.49 for the cheapest gas at Costco in my region, go to Chevron/Shell and you're hovering at just under $5/g. What kills the hybrid for me is even though the EV aspect is warranted 8/100, we're likely going to be buried in these cars and the thought of hybrid component repairs gives me the chills and cold sweat. That tech is so dynamic, who knows what 10 years will bring and I'm NOT into buying cars at modern day prices.

So now it's back to just me and Stewie who own the back seats!

The only passenger should be your dog. Other people talk too much and want to listen to crappy music.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Just get her a 4runner. Having both is sick. It's surprising how well either the taco or 4runner accomplish different tasks. Going shooting the taco wins, going skiing the 4runner wins

Lol I thought the taco was too expensive! 4Runners are insane in the membrane on how much they are. I know they are worth it but to have that much cash wrapped up in cars makes me a little queasy! Plus she likes sport cars.
