You know what, that’s not a bad idea. I’m getting over food poisoning and it’s put me in a shitty mood. Off to bed…

Maybe because I did mine in the first year but my bed shadow went away. Don't fear the reaper.

Can you show a pic? I wanna remove mine, but I'm afraid of the worst . . .
My Taco only has 3.5k miles and is always parked under a canopy. Hopefully it'll go smoothly

    Thanks

Yeah I’ll take one when I get home and post it. The damage isn’t from the stickers but from the sun fading the paint around it. Like the hot chicks who put heart stickers on their bodies before going into the tanning booth. I have a permanent TRD Off Road tan on my bed. If you haven’t had it on long and don’t keep it in heavy sunshine you may be okay.

I see. Just as I suspected; so it's like a tan from UV damage causing fading paint
^^All the reason to remove them as quickly as possible

Thanks for all the input. Ended up going with @spieler. He was a pleasure to work with and turned around the custom proofs very quickly.

I just removed the TRD decals and badges off my 2013 TRD Sport and after compound and a quick pass with the orbital I have zero burn in / shadow on my truck. I wonder if it's because my truck is white?

I like seeing the expressions of the owners with shiny jk’s and jl’s on 40s with no signs of trail use see it on the back of my beat ass XJ with a quarter million miles and bald mud terrains.

Just get something from Amazon. It lasts as long as any so called “ quality” decal.

    Legend.

I noticed my stock one has a chip missing from it. Probably just going to pull it off.

Not looking to replace it, and the rest of the badges may follow. I already pulled the v6 badge off. I might just remove everything and add a "pro" badge but for TRD off road. Like the ones from earlier 3rd gens. I dunno... Not really into that whole scene, but I'm curious how it would look on my setup.

I look at it this way. It's a sticker/badge. Get it, try it, if you dont like it, remove it. Just don't go full retard. NEVER go full retard. Bedazzled.

I never ran an orbital over mine, but fair play on the white. Do you live in a sunny state? My truck takes abuse from the cali sun sitting in the driveway.

I also live in California. :) The truck came from Utah prior. The orbital made ALL the difference in removing the ghosting from the original sticker and the Tacoma logos. When I initially pulled the stickers there was a ghost of the old decal, I tried hand buffing but that was a waste of time. Once I hit it with the orbital and some light compound the ghosting was gone. I followed up with a polish and then wax.
