Did you get a close-up lense in one eye and a far lense in the other? Or both lenses the same?
If they are different, which is giving you problems?

Can't click 'Like' on this one. My surgeon seemed very pleased to learn that they had actually given me good distance vision -- twice. I wonder if that tech isn't quite as technical as they want us to think.

Ken, After cataract surgery it is not uncommon to develop a condition called posterior capsule opacification. It happens up to 50% of the time after cataract surgery. It can occur in one or both eyes. It can happen anywhere from a few weeks to years after the surgery. PCO is a clouding of part of the lens that replaced the one during surgery. It can cause your vision to become cloudy, blurry, mimicking the original symptoms of cataracts. This may be causing your problem. It’s easy for a physician spot the problem. An easy, quick, painless procedure known as a laser capsulotomy will resolve the problem. It is performed in the doctors office. Ask your ophthalmologist to check for PCO.
Also depending on which lens is used it is quite normal to have excellent distance vision but not close up vision and require glasses for closeup such as reading.

The eye doctor told me I had a stigmatism and this new lens would help. So as of almost 2 years ago I have one standard lens that gives me almost perfect distance and the expensive "it will correct your stigmatism"lens in the right eye. All of the checkups say the lens is implanted properly and they both are good. I didn't get the far and closeup lens combo because of the stigmatism. To be honest I don't think I needed the special lens.

Thanks for the info Ken, the last check up I had(in June of 2021) they told me everything looks good. No clouding and the stigmatism lens is located in the right alignment with the proper axis. I am living with the issue for now but in the near future I will go to another ophthalmologist for a thorough exam and see if they find an issue. It is so bad, I had to learn to shoot with both eyes open as the problem eye is my right dominate one.

Thanks for the information guys and stay safe.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

SLeet/snow falling here this morning - maybe 1/4" so far. It's supposed to continue through the morning. New dryer is scheduled for delivery this morning - of course the time when it would be better to get it in the afternoon I get the morning slot. Pretty doubtful they'll get it here but we'll see.

    Stay safe out there!

Never fails. I '93 I had a log splitter delivered in a blizzard. inexperienced driver could not back into my driveway, had to unload it into my truck bed, on the road. It was in a box that had been beat up pretty bad. I had to engineer the whole procedure, or he would have wrecked my truck. Used all my ratchet straps to hold the box together. Glad I had them. Weather was so bad, I just left it in the bed, put a tarp over it. 2 days later it warmed up to 0°, I put the flat tubeless tires on it, used a ratchet strap to squeeze each tire and inflated them, rolled it off on a couple 2X12's. I still have it. Harbor Freight sale item.

Pretty easy install. The hardest part was opening the SD card door. I could not find, online, if the door was left side hinged or right side hinged. I did not want to snap off the door. We head to Florida today.

    One of my favorite lunches!

Great info and your last sentence is what I hope to have after surgery. Great discussion on real world cataract surgery.

Phone was delivered yesterday around 2pm. I was able to migrate the phone to my account and set it up. Today is playing with the S Pen to get used to that feature. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to add the phone and change my service plan. Actually, ended up saving $7 a month on the final cost of the plan.

I may have touched this car for the last time yesterday.
Put it in the transport for auction in Fla.

    Morning all:

Come up on the porch Blockhead, you need to fill up the cooler and then pull up a chair on the porch and join in.

:( Mike, maybe you will get a call from the new owner to work on it with all expensed paid for you and the wife, plus a lucrative bonus. I would think that not having it around would be similar to losing an old friend.

I have a feeling it will become a hanger queen. We ran this car some years ago and it was mobbed while we were working on it. Oh well

Not a popular car at all. A few bucks is all it will take!

1967 Toyota-Shelby 2000 GT headed for auction, lives in our dreams (motorauthority.com)

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! I've been sleeping in these freezing mornings, because.. well, why the heck not? It got above freezing for 3 hours yesterday afternoon. Dog and I went to our recycling bin - recovered. Filled up the bird feeder and squirrel corn - recovered. Took stuff to the garage - where's the dog? Another day of the same. Probably another box in the office to sort and file, and more news. Tomorrow will be better - 40's and rain all day!

I'm going to miss your GT too Mike. Lucky to have been a caretaker for so long.
