Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
I know this was a topic a while back but what are your recommendations for ear plugs? I wasn't too worried about it while I was on the Duke 390 being as it sounded about like a lawn mower but this FZ-07 with the M4 slip-on is LOUD.

Any cheap Mack’s pack from Walmart works for me, but ever since I bought my first non-budget helmet I find it’s quiet enough to not need them too often anymore, if that helps.

I bought these on Amazon that I was not very happy with, felt like they muted far too much even though they were supposed to be road oriented with less muting.

So i guess i'm in for answers as well

Second for cheapo foamies from wally-world. And it's amazing how much helmet type makes a difference, especially the little neck roll piece at the bottom.

I think you'd be better off buying some cheap foamies from Wally World. The ones i linked felt about the same as far as noise reduction as foam earplugs, and you'll get way more for your money with foams lol

Sounds good. Ill get some there. I haven't used any ear plugs in the past 12 years of riding.

I ended up deciding I'd rather have full hearing while riding. I already had tinnitus so how much worse can it get :notsure:

A lot worse, let me tell you haha. Mine had plateaued for many years and this year it decided to get ten times worse!

I never used to wear hearing protection when riding until I read an article dealing with motorcycling and fatigue. They brought up just how much the air whistling around your head and ears contributed to getting tired on long rides so I figured I'd give it a shot. I was absolutely shocked at the difference on a 4+ hour trip out of state at how much more energy I felt like I still at when we got to our destination.

I had a box of foam ear plugs that I forgot to give you at the cheesesteak meetup.

I never used to wear them but now I always do. The wind noise on the highway is too much especially with your helmet vents open. A lot more comfortable canceling that out.

Bingo, on a casual couple hundred mile round trip weekend to my folks place I don't bother. But if I was riding long days back to back I wouldn't hesitate.

    I can see that

at the same time, I imagine having a windscreen would net significantly less fatigue for me than earplugs. #NakedLyfe
