I got the spc on my gx. And icons on my Tacoma. Not sure which I like better. Both feel the same for me and I have had the bushings on either mess up.

I haven't had issues with my icon uca bushings. Put 30k miles on the first set then swapped em for newer ones just as a preventative type thing. Bushings still has lots of life left in them. Only reap maintenance thing I did was actually loosen the long bolt before putting new grease in which was done every oil change.

The ball joint was done after those 30k miles though. I went with the delta joint for a replacement and it's held up fine for the 15k miles or so I have on it now. Again just grease it every oil change

I somehow managed to get like 50k out of the Icon uniballs on my Tacoma before they were completely blown out and then I did about 10k on the delta joints and they were great. I really liked the fact that they are greasable and seemed just to work as well as the uniballs.

Sadly I sold the truck a couple weeks ago but I just picked up a 2000 4Runner today. With 250k miles though it is going to need some TLC, just from my first inspections it is going to need some new UCAs too and at least one of the CVs has a torn boot. Anyone know what the best place to pick one up would be? It came with 2 extra CVs with torn boots I can use as a core without any down time.

Are your cores OEM? If so, CVJ will accept them as cores.

Iif they are OEM they are worth rebooting them yourself. A Toyota boot kit will cost about $50/axle.

Nice, I believe they are OEM but I haven't looked very hard at them. I will have to look into the boot kit.

Getting some bad mpg on my third gen. Distance to empty shows 256 miles after filling up.

It’s a 2018. On an OME lift, 255 Cooper ST Maxx (I know these are heavy,) sliders and an Alicante canopy. Seeing guys with 285s and more armor getting significantly better mileage.

Any thoughts on what I need to check?

Do the math don't trust the digital. Example my tires are 3% off due to going up in tire size. Therefore, my mileage to empty and overall distance traveled is off by, 3%.

it is what it is. Weird to see guys with bigger tires and more armor showing 300+ miles to empty.

I have 285s and that is pretty much spot on for what my computer shows after a fuel up. Uncorrected I'm about 12-13mpgs around town and 14-15mpgs on the highway.

I couldn’t believe I was getting 16 mpg the other day when I filled up I almost took a picture. 285/70/17 with steel bumper, skids, roof rack, dual batteries, and the tent on the back. A combo of Fresh plugs, MAF and throttle body cleaning, and pedal commander on eco mode added like 4 mpgs

what’s your average mileage? On 285s, armor and lift, no tune and stock gears I was getting 18-19 city and 20-21 hwy. remember you have to calculate a % gain for larger tires too.

On 35s regeared I’m getting 15.5mpgs right now but it is winter gas that always lowers the mpg.
