I just got one for a buck about a month ago. Magnet is so weak it won't stay on my toolbox, unlike the 3 or 4 that are already there.

Yeah, that's not a new problem. I have had some from a few years back that are like that. Most of them got given to kids that didn't have lights on Halloween.

Anyone have the new packout stuff? Wondering how it compares to Milwaukee. Have a bunch of Milwaukee tools, but i have a hard time giving them what they are asking for, for molded plastic, lol.

I have some of the Husky stuff and love it! I would assume HFT are similar, their prices are all within a few $$ so once you get one make sure it’s what you want a whole system of!

I bought the Husky stuff because it’s the lowest cost for the small parts organization and in my opinion the easiest to use for the small parts. I do wish there was a collapsible dolly for Husky like Milwaukee has but I just can’t see spending that much money on the Milwaukee stuff that is only marginally better.

Thats where i am at. Love their tools, but cant drop that kinda $ on basically plastic. Will have to take a look at the Husky, didn't think of them.

I got 2 of these to start...
    upload_2022-2-25_10-19-7.jpg

and debating on which of these is next.

Like I said to start if the connect had a dolly or just the bottom of the 22 in rolling system for $49-$59 then I would already have my decision made. The 26" is what I am currently leaning towards as what's next to carry all the tool bags from the truck to the job site.

Just picked up my new “working under the truck” light. Pretty good build quality and even if it isn’t 750 lumens as advertised, it’s still pretty damn bright. Rubberized magnetic base and rechargeable. Let’s see how long it lasts.

    Son of a bitch!

They raise the price of the 9500w inverter generator AGAIN to $2299!

    upload_2022-2-27_12-49-10.jpg
This thing was $1999 last summer. Now I feel like an idiot for not picking it up then waiting for the "cheaper" price.

    ARRRGHHHH!!!

Plus how many times could you have used it since last summer? When I need something, I buy it rather then playing price games.

I'm pissed off that it was $2199 last week and now the price went up a hundred bucks.

Hahahahahah you got me in that I would not have used it at all since last summer. Being that I live in SoCal I am anticipating "brownouts" or "rolling blackouts" this summer. In my area we have shutdowns when the Santa Ana winds come along - we got the winds but Edison didn't end up shutting off my power - just quite a few communities around me. I got lucky!

One of the folks here got me his 15% off coupon but I used it for an Icon toolbox rather than the genny. Priorities, right?

I'd love one of their big inverter generators to power as much of my house as possible.
I bought my mom a 4000k watt generator a few yrs ago, and it's run flawless.

I was ready to buy myself a HF generator for my new house, but my buddy has a junk removal company. He was paid to get rid of a 6500w generator with 13 hrs on it. I got it for free, and it works great. Ran it for 72 hrs straight a few weeks ago when ice killed our power.

I bought a 2hp motor from HF a week ago with one of the Any Item coupons and just found out the bore is 7/8". I cannot find a 4-step pulley with a 7/8" bore so I may end up returning it. Serious WTF for HF that they make this unusual size bore AND they don't sell a pulley that fits. I Googled "7/8 bore 4-step pulley" and got nothing. Does anyone have insights on where I might find one? The other thought is I will likely only use 1 speed, so maybe I just looked for a single groove pulley with a 7/8" bore. This is the setup and it's the motor pulley I'm looking for. I have it set on the #4 groove.

How accurate is your bore measurement? I’ve often found that their tolerances are off by just a hair and usually err on the side of metric measurements. 7/8 is just slightly larger than 22 mm and a 22mm bore pulley should be easier to find. Worst case you can get creative and dremel out a 22mm to fit.

I haven't measured it yet, but I'll certainly do so today. Thanks! It wasn't until after I bought it that I found this is a known issue. There's a number of reviews on the HF site that talk about the 7/8' bore and the unavailability of pulleys. A few bored out the hole to a larger, more standard size then cut a new keyway while others just returned it. I don't think I'd like to bore it out more than just a little. Seems a recipe for unbalancing the pulley unless you have the right equipment (I don't) and are confident you can do it right (I'm not).

I think that is the compressor rated motor... I think that is a common shaft for air compressor motors.

Thanks. I don't see 4 groove pulleys, but they do have singles. If I decide/need to go that route it looks like they have what I would need. And yes, this is a compressor rated motor.

Just measured the shaft and it's 22.17mm, so a 22mm bore pulley looks like a winner. I just did quick Google search and see a lot of them. I need to measure the key slot and a few other things so I can narrow it down, but it appears it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the suggestion!

Picked up the 1.5 ton aluminum jack that was on sale this weekend. Now I have 2 working jacks (3 ton steel and 1.5 ton aluminum) and one leaky 2 ton jack. My 2 ton aluminum jack keeps blowing seals. I’ve rebuilt the piston a few times but it never lasts more than a year before I’m leaking oil again. If anyone has a lead on a good rebuild kit for these I’d appreciate it. Everything I found shows other manufacturers but nothing “Pittsburg” specific. Also: what the hell is with rebuild kits costing almost as much as buying a new piston assembly (which is just under $100)? For that money, i might as well buy a new jack.
    *ranting.

Not any special price or deal right now, but was just telling someone else about how awesome these little LED light switches are: A long while back, I bought a 10 or 12 pack I believe of these on some sale for really cheap. I was rebuilding a boat and ended up slapping one of these lights in each hatch or compartment lid instead of hardwiring in dedicated lights to each hatch. These saved so much headache, are crazy bright, and worked flawlessly for this application. I installed them using velcro so I can just easily grab them out when ready for a battery change (even though I somehow haven't needed to in 1.5 years) and to have a portable light if needed while fishing in the dark. For something so cheap, it was worth the risk of being crap, but I'm completely blown away. Highly recommend having some of these laying around the shop/truck/boat/etc.
