Hey man sick build! How do the mx4 specific mounts go on? Between the bakflip rail and the bed?

Hey thanks bro I appreciate it!

Yep, you just have to unscrew the Bakflip rails and the brackets for the BillieBars go underneath (so they go in between the bed of the truck and the Bakflip rail).

When I picked up the BillieBars from Nate he said that most people have to do some trimming. I was able to get away with no trimming but I did have to use silicon to fill in some small gaps between the rails and the bed that were caused by the width of the brackets.

I was able to do it all without totally taking off the Bakflip. It was relatively easy, it just took a couple of hours and some elbow grease to make sure it was all correct.

I’m out of town at the moment but I’ll try to remember to take a close up pic of the brackets tomorrow when I get back and I’ll post it so you can see it.

Thanks for the reply! No worries on the pictures, I think I know exactly what you mean.

I ride dirt bikes pretty often so I've been trying to figure out a quick on/off system for loading bikes up.

Oh nice. Yeah, I highly recommend the BillieBars. If you get the thumb screws for the brackets/bars, it takes like 60 seconds to take them off the truck and put them back on.

They’re also an awesome small company and have great customer service. Really good dudes.

Looks awesome! I just got an SR5 bone stock that I’m trying to figure out what to do with. Love the look of yours.

how do you like the rough country’s and ready lift? I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with mine as far as lift and wheels/tires.

I’d like to do a 2/1 with 265/75/16. Any rubbing on your current setup? Trying to figure out what wheels I need to run to have 265/75/16 or even 17” wheels without rub.

I’d like to not have to do a lift and do 265/75/16 but I’m afraid of rubbing and not looking as good

Hey man, sorry I never saw the notification that you posted here. That’s a nice looking SR5! I love the color.

I absolutely love the Rough Country level and the ready lift as well. I ran a rough country level kit on my last truck for almost 8 years and never had a single issue so it was a no brainer when I got my Tacoma. I also wanted to avoid having to do a legit lift kit.

I’m running 265/75/16 tires on 16 inch Black Rhinos and I don’t have any rubbing at all; not even close to rubbing at a full turn. It didn’t require any trimming or any modification other than the level kit and ready lift block kit in the rear.

Got to meet Mike from LLOD today and also saw the Freedom Tremor in person. Diamondback had an interesting new prototype on display also (last photo)…

Just did the Diode Dynamics map and dome lights in red. Sometimes the smallest mods make the biggest difference.

What’s the trick to popping the map lights out, would love to have red map lights.

I tried the whole “use tape to pull the bulb out” thing and that was not happening.

I wound up finding this YouTube video that shows how to pop out the whole map light console. The useful part starts at the 1:05 mark.

    https://youtu.be/J_bB9oWNiCE

It took like 60 seconds to pop it out, switch the bulbs and pop the whole thing back in. Way easier and less risky than trying to pull the bulbs out with tape.

    Haha awesome, thanks man!

I have some rad things coming in the next few months so I’ll have some good updates once everything is installed. Stupid supply chain problems slowing everything down.
