There was a reply to your post that got someone banned. Perhaps the mods removed your post to prevent a repeat. I thought it was a good comment.

Wow, really!!? I had no idea, that sucks. I'd be curious to see the reply that was so heinous that got someone the boot!

David said something about the president. They don't mess around when it comes to politics, but I get it. It's like a disease that will destroy any group it gets into. There are too many adult aged children nowadays, and certain conversations just can't be had online without one of them inevitably asking for a manager/moderator.

That said. I wish they would leave the posts. Maybe put them behind a "spoiler" tag and then leave a message saying "this post got this user a 30 day vacation"

    Well said.

I’d avoid any Russia/Ukraine comments as they are political.

Ouch ... Anyhow ... Anyone know a good brake rotor resurfacing shop in SD or east county? Oreilly's won't resurface mine because they are not OEM - they are EBC with slots/dimples. I measured one of the rotors at 28.10mm thick; min is 26mm. Shoot, I can even do north county as I see my mom in Esco every Monday.

Well I'm not surprised they wouldn't turn them, I used to do it all the time when I worked for shops, it's likely that the shop foreman or manager tells the employees that they aren't allowed to cut slotted and/or drilled rotors (because they can catch on a depression and cause havoc if the carbide cutter grabs enough meat), probably a good idea considering there are plenty of people that would absolutely justify that reasoning!
I have worked around plenty of people that made me question just how they made it this far in life without winning a Darwin award, lets just say it it were 150 years ago they would be having a hell of a time trying to survive or they would have a very short life.
While this is true, and can happen....you can simply slow the feed-rate and actually increase the rotation speed (which might seem counterintuitive), compared to a solid rotor cutting schedule anyway, and it works completely fine if they are using a decent machine.

I would check with some local machine shops, those guys tend to be far more knowledgeable working with their machines compared to the National auto part chains and would be much more likely to do it for you.

So I am looking for a 3rd gen 4x4 Tacoma, trim really doesn't matter as I am planning on just building the entire thing A-Z anyway. I was looking for a wrecked truck since I am planning on adding fiberglass all around anyway so I'll will be replacing bed and fenders as well as suspension, etc.
When I was looking a while back I was coming across a few but nothing I was able to get my hands on, or were just priced way off in some cases.
So if anybody comes across any 3rd gen 4x4s that are damaged or salvaged, I'd like to avoid salvaged if possible as I plan to sell it and that's a HUGE red flag as you can imagine, but if the price is right it's not off the table...
Just wanted to throw that out there just in case, you never know, and IMO a lot of my luck is simply based on timing and literally no other reason, so may as well advertise that I'm actively looking.

Who wants to see a super badass Tacoma build besides me, lol....Thanks guys!! :headbang:

It is a one man side hustle, likely the real job or family life has taken priority. I sent a message a few months ago and got no response.

Tell me about it, I have been looking for pre-programmed clones for help as well. Been having a heck of a time trying to keep up with work the past couple years!
However as far as problems go that is not a bad one to have...
