What do I care? The door is getting replaced (and the new one will get repainted), and the area around the door is getting blended; You have no idea how annoying the wind noise was!!!

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Well, I live in NV now and no state inspections but our county does have smog. Some of the stuff I see on the road here is scary. And as classic vehicles are smog exempt though you can only drive them 5k a year or less. I see a whole lot of shit boxes with classic plates.

What is funny is you can smog someone here. If you call the hotline and report the tag # for smoking then they will issue you a letter stating you have 90 days to smog your vehicle no matter when you last had it done. It cost $25 - $50 depending on where you go. So let's just say you don't want to cut my wife off or piss her off on the road. She is always like "siri, call SMOG!" And I am like, damn B! You heartless!!

    No cats? No problem!
    No muffler? No problem!
All tail lights burnt out? No problem!
Rusted out and held together with ductape and zip ties? No problem!
It's only an issue when you get pulled over. It's a love hate thing. I like not having those restrictions but it let's vehicles that have no business being on the road stay on the road.

Watch the dashcam footage; I wasn't really near the excavator, but rather the excavator sent a metal pipe tumbling down a pile of scrap into the side of my truck...

I guess I left out there are places in IL that require vehicles to be inspected. The place I work for has to get our fleet inspected yearly.

I am never going into Philly again, even for the opportunity to drive JDM minivan! Never again! I had a good time, but as I told @shakerhood in a text, I witnessed what I believe to be an attempted drive-by shooting in front of the dealership in Port Richmond...

Let's hear it. Glad you didn't have to do any more repairs to the Tacoma...

I had to repair a bullet hole in my Dodge 2500 in my drivers door. Lucky the way it went in some metal structure inside stopped the .40.

Okay, so I had gone back to truck to get some stuff I was taking with me in the van; This black kid, probably like 17 to 19 years old would be my guess, comes running around the corner in my direction. He is out of breath and looks absolutely terrified...

I get out of the truck and I'm like "Dude, are you okay?!?!" He could tell I meant him no harm and was just trying to help, but he was scared shirtless...

He looks at me and says "I think somebody just got shot back there", and then he takes off again. Moments later, I heard the rumble of V8 and I look back in the direction the kid had come from, and there was this black 2011-2015ish (maybe newer) Dodge Charger sitting at the stop sign. The guy driving is wearing a black ski mask or pantyhose or something, obviously to conceal his identity. This was a big guy, and he looked pissed; He appeared to be black or Hispanic, but I couldn't tell for sure because of his mask.

The driver of the Charger looks around and see the kid running, then buries the accelerator and hangs a left. He starts screaming out the window and stops in front of an alley between two houses where the kid had gone. I never saw a gun, but I'm pretty sure the guy in the Charger was packing. He starts cussing at the kid, who by this point is well down the alley; A line of cars had formed behind the Charger, a couple honked, and he lit up the rear tires as he drove off in anger...

By the way, the Charger was not a shitbox; It was definitely a HEMI, and it was nice. It was clean and it had really nice rims.

But yeah, I'm guessing the kid was in the wrong place at the wrong time and simply witnessed the guy in the Charger firing a gun at somebody; I did not hear any gunshots, but he maybe he had a silencer...?

Needless to say, not going into Philly anymore!

Care to tell this story? I've never been shot at or even been threatened with a gun in my entire life!
