My driving consists of 2-5 miles every few days (stop light to stop light), idling in parking lots waiting for my kids to be done with things and the occasional 10 mile drive, and I still get 12-13 mpg in below zero weather.

Second tank of gas on the new(ly purchased) Tacoma. 21.75 mpg or 12.99 L/100km, calculated from actual km driven and L put in the tank. First fill-up was 20.62 mpg, so looks to consistent.

Happy for you. I just filled up again and did the manual calculations, I am getting 13 MPG. Better than the 11 the computer says but still bad.

I should mention that I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport with the V-6 and the 6-speed manual transmission. Most of my driving would count as "highway" simply because I live in the country and everything involves a highway drive! :)
That said, my driving style is not one tending to maximize mileage, if you know what I mean. After all, the V6 is nice and snappy and I do love running through the gears.

I had a 2.7 that got 16mpg average. Half highway half city and I thought it just was what it was but I traded in and have a 19OR I average 19mpg and it’s like 21-22 on the highway AND I have a pedal commander set halfway to max.

I think some of the trucks just get better or worse mpg not the driver really just the engine. My 2018 2.7 got like 15 mpg I thought it was every one but I have a 3.6 now and it gets better mileage. Glad that I was able to upgrade especially that I only settled for it thinking at least I’ll save on gas.

It’s very normal. I get 1 mile per gallon, and I have a 21 mile commute to work….

For a bone stock Tacoma. 13mpgs is not normal.

I don’t know what you have done to your rig but I’m sure it’s not stock if you’re getting 1mpg, which is quite an accomplishment.

I get more than that, too, but I still get the 1

Jesus man. I get better than this with e rated 285/70R17's and a 3" lift with about 2-300 pounds of extra crap. What the hell are you doing? I mean, I get like 15 average on shitty Montana roads in very low winter temps/mountains and wind. Does that sounds like your commute? Or is it just a serious case of the lead foot?

No Lead foot. Drive minimal miles because I work from home. Mostly down to the store and back, school, park. I have my 4 year old daughter most of the times so no crazy driving. I called the dealer and they said it was not that odd since I do not drive highway miles. I am going to try another dealer.

Just hit 1k miles myself on my 22 TRD OR. So far I am averaging around 17mpg with most 80% highway miles. I usually go around 70 so would probably get more if I went down to around 65, that being said OP. At 11mpg even if its mostly city driving I would be concerned with that.

so has the OP tried getting on the highway for an hour, just to see what real mpg he might be getting? i mean, if i were getting 11mpg on a new vehicle....

get in the truck and find a highway. once on the highway, park the needle at 65 (or 55, or 75) and report back after a 50 mile ride.

Sorry, but I think this as well. If you only do in town driving and spend enough time idling at lights and in stop and go traffic, single digits is very possible with short trips. I know if I take an in town trip only, I get single digits easily without being a stoplight drag racer. Now I am lifted and on 33's, but even stock I could get right where you are at.
