I put the battery in the same place but ran the cable to the other side.

I also tied the neg cable to a good ground (the whole cab is the negative) and only ran the positive from a redarc solenoid to the back.

It's been working for a few years now, as long as I don't dead cycle the battery.

Good morning guys! Sorry for the delayed response, I took a little break for the weekend.

Andy, I was going to ground mine in the cab but Battleborn and Victron both strongly recommended running the negative back to the battery so I took their advise.

How did you tie down the house battery in your truck? I’m thinking a boating battery tie down ran through and under the storage bin plastic. As tight of a fit the battery is behind the seats it doesn’t look like it needs a lot to keep is secure.

Nobody likes my beer :pout: I’ve done all the fancy IPAa, they all started to taste like a pine cone. I do enjoy Yuengling and other ambers or dark beers, but for after yard work and such I just go with the PBRs. :notsure:

A little of this and a little of that.
Nice job routing your cables for the second battery Blevin. Sound deadening looks good too!

FWIW, I’m not a beer snob. I’ve been all over the world and had some really good beers, but to me there’s only two types-the type I buy, and the type that’s given to me.
It’s a little early but cheers, the truck is looking great!

Morning John and Bob. Sorry to leave you guys hanging yesterday. I’ve been spending way too much time watching the news. I have friends still in the military who are way to close to the craziness.

Awesome truck Bob! I miss mine, so simple and dependable.

Have a great Wednesday and stay away from the news if you can.

I completely stopped all news watching like 15 years ago; no alerts on my phone, no links....nothing. They have nothing good to say. I won't even watch weather anymore, just use an app. It all just raised my blood pressure, yet there's absolutely nothing we can do about it.
I hope your friends stay safe.:fingerscrossed:

    Thanks.

I stopped watching most tv news years ago too. Had to keep up with the local papers and some local tv stories because of the job but had found a happy medium. Since retiring I had stopped all of it. Then this happened and I took a look, it was like a crack pipe. I’m sure my BP is up and you’re right, not a thing we can do about it.

For 30 years I listened to news programs on NPR during my commutes to and from work, I felt that it was important to stay informed and also as a matter of continuing education - considering different opinions broadens the mind.

A couple of years ago on my morning drive the news was saturated with the drama of the day and suddenly it was like a fuse blew in my head. I thought "I have over $700 in the stereo in this clunker (my daily van), why in the hell am I listening to this?"

I grabbed the first CD in my box (Asleep at the Wheel, 10) and haven't listened to the news since.
I don't know what is going on and feel much better for it...

The irony of the band I chose dawned on me later - when one is "asleep at the wheel" he is literally not paying attention to what is going on. Yep, that's me - and now with lower blood pressure. :lalala:

Edit: We haven't had any TV at home for years, just DVDs.
