Well it looks like AUCAR is gonna fuck me. The unit failed right at 3 months. They only have a 30 defect warranty. Best they can do is make me pay for freight both directions and what ever it costs for them to fix the problem. Pretty sad if you ask me. At this point I would caution anyone that is considering this unit to back out. Its a pretty expensive paper weight for 3 months of use.

It should have a 1-year warranty.

yup they’ve been fucking me on tech support since january, mine has never worked properly and i fear that mine is going to do the same as yours. A 30 day warranty is absolute bullshit. I would also caution everyone away from this thing

That really does suck. I was just reading the warranty info and this is a bother part in there for me if I have another problem….
In the unlikely event where any manufacturing or material defect has occurred due to unforeseen reasons, our head units are all covered by a 12-month warranty for items purchased in the United Arab Emirates (“the UAE”) ….
It would appear none of us are no longer covered, unless you bought your unit in the UAE, as @Airdog said it was only a 30 day warranty.

Ok so things may be changing for the better. Other than having to drag out info from them we are making better progress.

I been watching this thread for months. I am so glad i have not purchased this unit. Everything about it looks great, but the hassles of setting up, tailoring it to work is just not worth it. Good luck and the company should do a better job working out issues and reliability

Well....my return of a broken unit saga continues. Ever since they said they would honor the 1 year warranty they have just been stringing me along on WhatsApp. Things like...give me a pic of your order number...even though its been given to them in the same chat...we will do it at the end of this week...on and on. I finally just opened up a paypal dispute and included pics from the WhatsApp convo's. ive just asked for a refund at this point....we'll see how it goes.

That's too bad, this is such a cool unit I was considering one but I think I'll pass now.

Ok. I did a PayPal dispute and by some kind of miracle I got a DHL return label in my email from AUcar. They said the new unit is in the “making”. So I guess we will see how it goes from here.

I have the Telsa radio and I am installing the oemaudioplus dual subs but having trouble connecting to the head unit. Has anyone done this already that can tell me how to connect the oemaudio subs to the head unit?

Update, I figured it out. Dam This is a great set up!

I’ve had my unit since December and have had no issues. I did the updates and use zlink all the time and haven’t run in to anything since the zlink update my phone is better and no glitches for everyday use. I hope it continues to perform I love the Aucar stereo

I was also considering purchasing this unit but seeing the above issues and poor services from the company, I'll keep my current Alpine system for now. Poor services from China companies seem to be the norm. I've had bad experiences with Joying, Dasaita, and Aliexpress. Getting clear answers from them is like pulling teeth. I hope Aucar will eventually get all the bugs worked out on this unit.

In order to get the transmission temps with the obd fusion app you have to purchase the toyota extra pids, I believe they are an extra $9.99

There is just one Torque app, but a bunch of addons it looks like. Get the Pro paid version.
