Did the dealer give you an initial ETA before they changed it to March 7th? Myself and another guy residing in the GTA are waiting for TRD Pros that are due to arrive around March 7th as well.

 

Ya it was to arrive today dealer called me back 30 mins ago and said it was going to be released tmr they were waiting on the tailgate lock

 

I talked to a dealer today about a truck. Seems like they are all getting trucks around the first 2 weeks of March. I’ve found a Lunar rock and a windchill pearl both 6MT unspoken for and available. And one ELG PRO auto. Now which one to get?

 

Glad to hear more 6MTs seem to be being produced. Could be the last year or so of tacomas ever produced with a manual.

 

Reached out to my sales rep yesterday and asked if he had heard anything on my TRD OR. He finally gave me an estimate of Mid-Late April. I placed my order on 17 December.

I received my Access cab OR last night. Ordered in mid August. I have some ideas for it I picked up here at TW.

 

From everything I’ve heard from other online sources and the 2 dealers I’ve been dealing with, is that the Pro’s production doesn’t even start till March. Then 4-6 weeks delivery to Canada. Putting the pro’s arrival at mid April at best to Canada.
If a dealer says beginning of March then they would have VIN numbers already for sure! If they don’t have your VIN number yet, then it’s not even in production and your a long way out from picking it up.

 

My Pro (and another GTA member's) is sitting at the port of Toronto and I do have the official VIN. Delivery ETA is being communicated as Mar 7 - 9.

I don't think your intel that Pros won't start production until March is accurate.

 

Same for me, pro showing delivery March 8th-12th. VIN in hand since last week

 

Well then that is great news guys! My intel must be off. No one on here ever said they had VIN numbers already.

 

I do get the impression that these trucks are built in batches, as it seems some folks in the US have already taken delivery of their ELM Pros. The pictures are starting to trickle in.

I’ve heard Toyota specifically builds 6MT trucks in batches about every 3 months.

i called another dealer that seemed really high volume. they have a truck on order in my exact specs that another customer cancelled. so i did get lucky after all. 4-6 weeks!
just need to cancel my original order on monday

 

Well if anyone sees a pro in the wild with a actual owner. Please let us know!

I can’t believe the “first batch” will be here in a week or 2 and there hasn’t even been a sighting yet. Either in U.S. or Canada?? ‍♂️

A guy in the US posted pics of him picking up his 22 pro over a month ago. Deliveries have been rare but they are starting to arrive now.

Now it’s bumped to March 12-16!
Doesn’t make sense why since the truck is already made.
