What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Looking good! Let us know how the KO2’s do in the snow. I have the same size KO2’s but no snow here. Just curious in case I ever want to head up to Tahoe.

I was actually pleasantly surprised! I was fully prepared to be a bit underwhelmed about the snow performance after hearing some complaints, but they did great in the really wet/slippery stuff we got here in PA recently. I wouldn’t hesitate taking your rig out to Tahoe..

 

I saw one parked on the street the other day in Morro bay. Should’ve snapped a pic but I’m just not that kind of person.

 

Nothing in the fifteen52 catalog that is not worth 3 nights on the couch. I'll just tell her my life is ending one minute at a time, she will understand someday.

 

I saw on some Jeeps they were using skid plates made with Delrin. Hard but slick to let them slide over rocks. It was laminated to either AL or steel skid plates.

 

I had the Cat Security plate installed on my taco today. I had to have a local shop doing because I lacked the tools to drill into the truck (I thought I bought the no drill plate, but oh well). I know this isn't a 100% guarantee that the catalytic converter won't be stolen, but it should be a great deterrent.

Gave the blue mechanical mistress a tall glass of top shelf Kroger fuel (which made me cringe).

Also changed out my @MESO gasshole for another @MESO gasshole (V1 vs. V2).

Picked up an ikamper skycamp 2.0 for a great price today. Super easy install. Almost road trip ready.

 

I’m not sure if you know that the 3.0’s are just about to come out. One major change is that it is an inch taller to accommodate your bedding.

A few Saturday morning mods:

Smoked Raptor lights for the Pro grill.
They are RGB, colors controlled by a Bluetooth app.
Initial impression: not to impressed with the color output and weather sealing on the connectors. I could not decide between amber or white so I figured I’ll give these a go since they were pretty cheap from Amazon.

 

Did the budget air intake mod by adding the air intake accelerator and a K&N air filter

 

Finally put on the front plate to avoid a reason to get pulled over. Went with the heritage stripes on a license plate frame front and rear. Got them from a seller on Etsy.


up next: a good bath for the truck since sunshine is on the horizon for a while.

 

Yes I did see that. I debated waiting but this was a good deal on a 6 month old unit used 1 time. The guy included a new ikamper awning, the shoe rack, storage rack, a new roam awning with quick release brackets, a pelican case to store all the extras, and it’s the rhino lined version. The guy was super cool and getting out of the camping game so threw the extras in no charge.

Thanks man, I have the 285/75R16 KM3’s. Bilstein 6112 front at max setting. 5160’s in the rear with emu medium leaf springs. About 2 inches all around.
