    Yeah.
Looks like you LR folks may start getting some more ice mid-afternoon, and the way it is moving, it may stick around for a bit. Stay safe.

So far just wet roads here in NLR no problems at all and the city has been like a ghost town most of the day.

I got behind one yesterday and they were spreading sand it looked like, and I've seen sand on bridges around here. Not real sure what they use up around you though.

I think my son told me that Bentonville may be using Calcium magnesium acetate and potassium acetate are two chloride alternatives currently available. They are much more expensive than road salt, but if you factor in the loss of wildlife, soil erosion, water quality and corrosion, these alternatives start to look like a real bargain.

Greetings, fellers! I hope y'all are well. I want to drop a quick line and let you know that I still have my Rotopax if anyone is in-need of some. I have 2 2-gallon waters with clips, 1 4-gallon gasoline, and 4 brand new 2-gallon storage (black with clips). Since I sold the Taco, they are sitting in my garage. I certainly don't need them for my Nismo Z. If anyone is interested, send me a PM with an offer and we can find a way to connect. I'm still in Searcy.

I guess spreader truck would have been a better description, as a native Ohioan a truck with a spreader will always be a salt truck in my head. It appears to be sand and gravel, no chems apparently because no melting.
My wife had an appointment she refused to miss this morning, Subaru x-mode FTW.

Man it seems like were clearing up pretty good here, but today I had packages on both UPS and FedEx trucks just go for rides around town and then back to the depots lol. The brown truck was even like a half a mile from the house at one point. Say what you want about USPS but that dude came through every day this week.

Tomorrow I'll be making a trip to West Plains MO. This is the first time I've been to West Plains since the ferry boats operated on Lake Norfork.

I'll be going from Conway -> Clinton -> Mountain View -> West Plains. I hope it turns out to be sunny tomorrow.

Does anyone know of a short scenic stop along the way?

So... I am responding from Wisconsin and have never been where you are going (so take with a grain or two of salt...); however, I have been doing a lot of research for a trip through that area that is happening next month. You are too far south for any of the TMOT (Trans Missouri Overland Trail). Looking at Google it seems you have some options to explore off Highway 5 before you get to Calico Rocks. Steel Falls, as well as one that has been recommended from a member on this site, Gunner Pool. These can be accessed via several interesting FS type roads to the west that you could make a loop out of, but not knowing your timeline they might be a bigger commitment than you want. Also, you might check out Sugar Loaf Mnt look out tower, also just before Calico Rock. Calico Rocks sounds interesting as well, maybe start there.

    Hope this helps

Went and picked up a new toy yesterday from Hattiesburg MS, left my house ~6:40am and didn't get home until 10:40pm. Took us almost 2.5 hours to get from Cabot all the way through Pine Bluff yesterday morning because it was an ice skating rink, and nobody could stay on the road.
