When I was in Iraq, the big wild fires in southern CA got my storage (and everyone else's) and burned all my shit to the ground, including my motorcycle.

Hopefully there was some insurance included by the storage company?

 

It took months before I got any payout too, since it happened when I was out of country and had no way to receive any phone calls regarding what happened.

Was also an issue getting credited back all those payments I made as my storage was on auto-pay while I was out.

I had shared the storage with 3 other marines, and none of them other than 1 guy really left anything of value. I had my TV, PS3, CBR F4I motorcycle, clothes, tons of electronics and whatever else one would have when living in the barracks.

Oh yeah I had a nice microfiber recliner too!

 

There was, but you can imagine how furious I was cause I lost a lot of pics too since my computer was in there.

But yeah I got reimbursed for everything.

 

Yeah no matter the coverage there are some things that can't be replaced or even valued

Ha yeah I was thinking that, I have to use ankle straps on my skates when I play. Nothing worse than loose ankle support in skates

Im from florida. I stay away from ice. Never liked it for some reason. Especially on a lake. F that!

 

Florida man goes through ice and dies ice skating for first time. Not how Im goin out.

 

I'd be concerned about the cow covering post a post. But can you imagine a four pad stack?

 

A dream of mine is to play pond hockey someday, but I'm also terrified of falling into a frozen body of water. So it'll probably need to be up in the north pole

 

I wish the ice got thicker in Tahoe. We have a lot of small lakes in the area but it never gets thick enough
