All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Hey Clay, did you recently pick this up from someone out west? Or is this your build? I have seen this truck before.
    Very nice!

Ah i didn't think about that, I wonder if my current u-bolt setup would accommodate them, looks like the 63's are only 1/8th wider

Ah sweet, I'm assuming that ultimately provides 1/2" more lift than the ones I posted? looks like the arch is 3/4" more but the leaf pack is 1/4" thinner. Thanks for posting those as an option. Would you recommend them again? I know you mentioned Deavers earlier. Would those support 800-1k lbs and give me 2-3" of lift Im looking for? Im sure a lot of it has to do with how everything is fabbed up.

Thanks for the breakdown, that makes a lot more sense. I calculated a lot of that separately since I'll be purchasing most of that regardless of which route I go.

That's his build there are a few guys in the SE that built them like this. It's friggin' wicked you should see it in person he's done a hell of a job on it for his first go and learning.

Gotcha. As far as the deavers go I think they'd do well. They held up well for me. The Dobinsons that Phil mentioned should also do well I've heard and seen nothing but good things with them and heavier set ups. Now as far as the 63s handling the weight and stuff Badassbrunette on IG has a 63 set up with a lot smaller pack than we're looking at and that I have and it seems to be doing well for her set up which is probably a bit heavier than yours.

Your current U-bolts will not work. Tacoma springs are 2" 63s are 2.5". Where'd you read they were only 1/8" wider?

I went with the SD truck springs and they've held up well for me and would do them again if I were looking at a cheaper option. If you know your current set up is there to stay long term I say go for it. My problem is I always want to go further and go bigger and harder so knowing that now I would of gone custom spring route same with the location of how I did the front and rear mounts and the shackles.

It was at the event. My buddies own a shop here in GA called ACC Garage. I roll with them in our land cruisers and buggies.
I can’t recall which year (awhile ago) but this was awhile ago at Golden Mtn Park. I had my ‘85 truggy.
Back then it’s was rare to see a 2nd Gen that was linked in the SE.

I came close to buying another buggy recently. Then got bit by the SxS bug and bought a Yamaha Wolverine. I usually ride at KTM when I am out on the trails now…
I really wanna do some suspension on my FJ40 so it’s not like rising on a brick, but it is too clean for it.

Oh shit Golden mtn park has been closed for quite a while now. The new owners were going to revive it then that fizzled out. Kinda sad as I wanted to go wheel that park.

Good input, appreciate that. Thanks for sharing, I'll check out her setup on IG

Ah, thanks for clarifying. A quick search (that I did not dive deep into) lead me to believe they were 2 3/8" wide. Shoulda just walked out to the garage and whipped out my tape measure

Good to know, good to know. Thanks again for all the info!

It looks really nice but if I spent that much on it I couldn't put 40s on it, would have to keep it original.

    An
And this is why she sits as she does. All the mods that were done were tasteful and it’s built to be a driver.
Has a Saginaw PS setup, which makes turning the 35s easy like butter. A set of ProCar Elite seats helps with the IronMan suspension. She is a stout little goat!
